P is for Peacock as we all know. C is for color, well at least for most of the peacocks with the exception of one. His name was Percy and this is his story. Percy was a peacock who was unlike any other. No it wasn’t just his gray and black feathers. Oh no it was that he spent all his time in a cave. Yes like a bear in a cave; for Percy knew if any of the other peacocks in the forest saw him he would be made fun of or worse.
Percy spent his time gathering food and talking to his only friend the rain cloud. He thought the rain cloud could never find him ugly for he too was gray and black as the night. Often the rain cloud asked Percy why he spent all his time in the cave and not in the forest with the other peacocks. But Percy would always just say he didn’t like the warmth from the sun in the forest.
Percy knew this was safe because the rain cloud never went to the forest; only the sun and moon were allowed there. Then one day everything changed.
The sun grew tired of shinning upon the plants in the forest and just watching them grow so slowly. So the sun decided to get a little help, he discussed it with the moon; she said they should discuss it with the rain cloud. The rain cloud said he would be happy to help by giving water to the thirsty plants and animals of the forest. He was so excited to be asked he rushed to see Percy. The rain cloud couldn’t wait to tell he could now visit the forest for the sun would no longer shine there. The cloud arrived at Percy’s cave; but he was nowhere to be found. Percy had seen the sun leaving the forest and knew the cloud would be coming to have him travel with him to the forest. He knew he just couldn’t until he looked like the others. He made up his mind to become ...

...er, then he started to cry. I can’t go home he thought. Maybe I can sneak into the forest and hide out there until the sun returns.
He waited until the rain cloud stopped to form his rainbow. Then he ran into the forest; he was to busy running to notice that he was going to bump into another peacock. Oof said Percy as he bumped into a peacock who introduced himself as Perry. Percy waited for him to laugh but the laughter never came. He just asked him why he never saw him in the forest before and if he wanted to be friends.
It was at that moment that Percy realized he had never even given the other peacocks a chance. After all was he really that different from them? The moment that he realized it was ok to be himself the sun came out from behind the clouds and shown upon him. The sun revealed to everyone that he really was the most beautiful of all.
The first two lines of the poem set the mood of fear and gloom which is constant throughout the remainder of the poem. The word choice of "black" to describe the speaker's face can convey several messages (502). The most obvious meaning ...
Percy Jackson is just another typical twelve year old kid, although he may seem like it at first being a troubled kid, and kicked out of several schools. But that’s until Percy’s life takes an extraordinary turn. It all starts when Percy discovers that he has ADHD and Dyslexia, meaning his bloodline is half descending from a Greek god. This secret was kept from him his entire life but was released through a series of events on a field trip. Mr. Brunner, Percy’s Latin teacher, brings him to Camp Half-Blood, where all the mythical beings and other half-bloods reside. During his stay at Camp Half-Blood, Percy finds out about the identity of his true father, who happened to be Poseidon, one of the big three, as some would say. To be the son of Poseidon
“When i was a child i played with my cousin outside, where the lamplight fell upon the group and the singing of the old people rose around us and carries away into the darkness.” the idea of dark and light is a motif throughout this whole story not only showing good versus evil but also knowledge and the lack of knowledge. This also encompasses the traditions of singing and dancing. The elders and the singing bring knowledge which is represented through the lamplight which is singing on the children, who will soon gain the knowledge passed down. “Still, it was early in the morning, and the birds sang out of the shadows.” this is when he is older and the birds are the elders, still singing their traditional songs. This time we is in the light because his grandmother dies, and because he is older. In a way he is coming to realizations and the truth is seeping through. His personal experiences in rainy mountain helped his discover partes of himself, both the playful, happy child, and the mourning adult. The change in setting plays a large role in both aspects of his life, the darkness is bing naive and the sunlight is finally gaining knowledge. This is representative of everyone 's oneself. Each person 's experiences shape who they are. Not only the good but also the bad experiences cause you to learn about your innerself. This causes to you to grow as a person
Robertson Davies’ novel, Fifth Business, revolves around guilt, competition, and two men who are foils of each other. Although Dunstan Ramsay and Percy Boyd Staunton are parallels to each other, they contrast in a great number of ways. Their awkward relationship plays a significant role in the number of elements which make Fifth Business such an interesting story.
Percy is immensely brave. He is not afraid to do anything if it meant he could save another's life, like he
Percy's life was full of hardships and adventure. He showed promise intelligently as a writer and philosopher from a very young age, although his views were not popular. Even so, his stories and poems were well liked in his time, and even now. His family affairs, however, were always quite awkward and only evened out a few years before his mysterious death.
Firstly, the narrator gives little detail throughout the whole story. The greatest amount of detail is given in the first paragraph where the narrator describes the weather. This description sets the tone and mood of the events that follow. Giving the impression that a cold, wet, miserable evening was in
Percy Jackson is the main character in this story, who is a demi god, who mortals are after. His name is short for Perseus and his father is one of the big three gods, Poseidon. He is suffering from dyslexia and ADHD, which could be deliberately added to the character by Riordan, to show he is meant to be a hero, and not to do well in school. This shows that school is not what he is good at, and he is destined to be a hero and save people. The character Grover, who plays Percy’s best friend, parallels a Satyr who is human from the waist up and goat from the waist down and is a companion of wine God, Dionysus, who we later learn, is the camp director for Half-Blood Camp.
One struggle that took place in Percy's life, was that his mom died or “disappeared” right before his eyes... Another conflict is that he has ADHD and dyslexia. Something that took place in the book is that when Percy fought the Minotaur,

was filled with angels. Even his parents notice that he was different than his other peers, but they tried to dishearten him by lying that he must be daydreaming. In addition, he loved to paint from his early childhood; he attended a drawing school and his parents taught him how to read and write at home. One of Blake’s assignments, when attending art sch...
1. Chapter 3, page 5, #3: “A little fog hung over the river so that as I neared it I felt myself becoming isolated from everything except the river and the few trees beside it. The wind was blowing more steadily here, and I was beginning to feel cold.”
This is the true start to Percy’s quest. He made a few friends in the camp and they agreed to go on this journey with him. Those accompanying him were his protector Grover and Athena’s daughter Annabeth. They also get some helpful tools fro...
Monstrous clouds covered the lights of the sky. The water was motionless as the rabbits road peacefully down the river. Oak trees had leaves with varying colors from red to green. The rabbits stayed silent, not wanting to draw attention to themselves on the boat. Suddenly, Pipkin whispered, “Tell us a story Dandelion.” In response, Dandelion said, “Sure, I can tell you a story.”
