Get ready for school, pack bags, do not forget breakfast, go to school, make sure homework is finished, and ace those tests! The day to day life of students is quite difficult. Time management is the most necessary tool students can have in life. Therefore, the ability to schedule and make time for everything that needs to be done can help reduce the stress that results from unorganization. Students have a heavy workload, which includes homework for several classes and studying for tests throughout the year plus finals at the end of each semester. Once their homework is completed, non-student athletes have the ability to do whatever they want. This is of course with the consent of their parents and as long as their activities obey the law. Non-student athletes get more of a social life than student-athletes because they can hang out with friends after school. Student-athletes are required to keep their grades up to be able to play. Throughout the day, athletes have their school responsibilities. In addition, they try to get themselves mentally prepared for their practice or game they have after school. Athletes do not just show up to the game. They study the other team’s players and plays. This just adds to their tasks at hand and becomes stressful at times. Therefore, they need to be constantly working to get every task on their schedule completed. College athletes have very busy schedules they follow and when finished with their schedules they are left with very little free time. Student athletes are required to take a minimum of twelve credit hours to start the semester and required to pass at least nine credit hours by the end of the semester. With this standard having to be met, the athletes are spending hours studying and attending class. Besides from studying and attending class the athletes then have to go to practice.
