The Link between Nephrology attracting fewer doctors and the number of patients with kidney disease is expected to rise in the coming years because of a growing elderly population which is a crucial factor. So, what will happen if the number of neurologist doctors keeps declining, these patients will not get the medical care they need. Especially, since many of the patients with kidney problems are older they need more Nephrology doctors that are available around the clock. Nephrologist should be available to travel in and out of hospitals because a lot of their older patients are either on dialysis or in need of a kidney transplant. However, there are some younger patients with kidney disease. For example, I was diagnosed with having a rare form of kidney disease at the age of 15. The kidney disease that I have is called C3 Glomerulonephritis which is a rare form of kidney disease that affects two to three people per million. Nephrologist use them also for all types of CKD. From experience I take a bunch of medications for my CKD. Which does help control my Kidney disease because these medications help my kidneys to keep functioning until I might need a kidney transplant and dialysis later in my life. Once upon a time, my best friend, Bryan Martinez, often heard his mother’s medical conversations with friends. One day at school, our teacher confronted Mrs. Martinez and told her that she was able tell that Bryan was a son from a nurse. Apparently there was an incident at school where a little boy was acting out and Bryan told our teacher that the little boy was agitated, and to give him some medication to calm him down. I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
People spend hours going to dialysis, doctor offices, and making sure all medications are took. “Coping with kidney failure is not just about managing the physical symptoms with treatment. It’s a major life change that can cause a great deal of stress and can give rise to a range of emotional reactions.” Different people react in various ways. Theres a pattern to the way that most people react. Some examples of emotional reactions are depression, stress, anxiety, and sexual problems. People may feel miserable because they are having difficulty coming to terms with some of the changes their conditions are striking against them. All human beings find change stressful. As a person with kidney failure they will have to handle more change than most people.
