The National Honor Society is a prestigious institution that any high school student would admire if they were to receive admission for the program. However, not every student is qualified and capable for admission and therefore making it one of the exclusive organizations in high schools around the nation. Being exceptional and proficient in the traits of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service is not an effortless task. Nevertheless, I truly believe that I am not only achieving those attributes, but have been succeeding consistently all throughout my educational career. In today’s advancing society, knowledge has become an essential aspect to achieve a successful lifestyle. It is important that one demonstrates scholarship from the …show more content…
Character is a combination of personality traits and what separates you from the others. Having a reputable character is important because it defines how other people view you as. Therefore, I try my best to portray myself in the most exclusive and finest manner possible. I want to be viewed as a responsible and compassionate individual mixed with cheerfulness from my peers and elders. In order to achieve this image, I make sure that I work hard inside and outside the classroom and try to prompt respectable behavior to my surroundings. Whenever a friend comes to ask for help, I do not simply give them my work to copy, I try my best to teach them in another way so they can also learn the material and practice until they achieve success. I stay away from anything that may hurt my reputation and always follow the rules while still being faithful. When working on group projects, I make sure I cooperate with everybody else and at the same time I try my best to be trustworthy by getting my part of assignment finished on time. A positive character is like a spreading disease that will influence others, which is why I give my greatest effort to have a reputable …show more content…
Community service helps to develop a better and responsible character, which is deeply cherished by anybody. All three years at Westerville Central, I participated in key club. As a key club member, I have signed up for many different types of volunteering activities such as watching kids, making crafts, organizing places for events, line judging for middle school volleyball games, and more. Furthermore, the previous two years I volunteered at a local fire station to decorate the place for a Halloween event where little kids can come and collect candy and as well as play games. Over the previous two summer breaks, I have volunteered at the Westerville Public Library to reshelve books and DVDs and as well as reading to the kids. In addition, I have helped with the Summer Reading Program by entering how many hours the kids have read so they can earn the corresponding prizes. Apart from that, I always participate in the charity drives at Central, like Caring and Sharing, by donating money or supplies to the less fortunate families or the troops so they can also enjoy the holiday season. There is no such thing as too much volunteering and everyone should enthusiastically be willing to sacrifice a little bit of their time to offer aid to their
I am writing to inform you of my possible contributions to the National Honor Society and my interest in becoming a member. I view myself as a strong minded individual with a strong incentive to learn. Acquiring the ability to learn fast and adapt quickly has enabled me to be a part of a wide range of organizations. My participation and loyalty to the NHS could result in a great strive forward. I could provide more ideas of services to benefit the school and our community. I would also devote a large portion of my free time to the organization and assist in any way possible. Whether that means coming in early in the morning or staying late after school, I would do any means necessary to show my commitment.
I am honored to be among the students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I must admit that this is a group that I have been anticipating joining since the beginning of my high school career. I believe that I deserve this honor and this chance because I have worked very hard to get here. The National Honor Society is known for recognizing students with grades and praiseworthy character, I believe that I have both. My grades are a priority at school because when it comes down to it that is what I will be judged on, alongside my character and attitude. As a student athlete, I pride myself on being a good role model, not just in my home and school, but also in my community. I have participated in many activities that served
It is a tremendous honor to be considered for membership in the most prestigious Honor Society available at Wapato High School. It is even more grand to be able to work towards enrollment in the Society side by side with such an astoundingly gifted group of young men and women. I am only being considered for potential membership in the National Honors Society because I have demonstrated an exemplary academic attitude, and have proven this through the grades I have attained during the years I have spent in the Wapato School District and the fondness amongst my teachers I have achieved. There are also other characteristics besides good scholarship I must fill for membership in the Society, those being services I have done to benefit others in the community, leadership positions I have held, and an original and interesting demonstration of
Growing up, my parents never expected perfection but expected that I try to accomplish my best. The effort I’ve put forth in learning has been reflected in my grades throughout my high school career. I’ve entered myself in vigorous course work such as AP Government and AP English to become well prepared for my college career, all while maintaining a 4.4 grade point average this year. Not only do I engage in AP classes, but up until this year I had no study halls. I wanted my day to be packed full of interesting classes that I would enjoy learning about. My grades and choice of classes prove the effort that I put forth in my learning. Working hard now can only pay off in the future. Learning now creates a well-rounded human being. Working to learn is why I am so dedicated to my studies now.
I am profoundly honored to be among the exceptional people who are being noticed for the National Honor Society. Being considered to join the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. It proves to me that I have accomplished my goals and worked to the best of my ability. In all my years as a student I have always tried to do the my best to get the highest grades. I do not just focus on my academics, I also strive to be a benefit to Stevenson High School. Achieving my goal in becoming a member of the National Honor Society would give me a great sense of honor and joy both academically and personally. As a human being I have aspiration and academic excellence to offer to the National Honors Society. I would be thrilled to join The
It is with great honor to be considered among the students of my class to be a part of the National Honor Society. the National Honor Society (NHS) has been an organization that has displayed great interest to me, with new leadership skills and responsibilities to take upon. I believe that I hold the leadership skills, service, character, and academic excellence that is required to become a member of the National Honor Society.
When my English teacher first spoke about the National Honors Society, I was eager to find more information about it. I highly praise and admire everything it emblematizes; I hope to be able to contribute everything I have to offer. I believe I can be a notable member of NHS for my school, Saddleback High School, and my community. Finding three weaknesses and three strengths about myself was a stirring challenge. Alike everyone, I have weaknesses and strengths, but finding a way to explain them was difficult to me.
National Honors Society is an extremely prestigious and well-known group that gave me the opportunity to assist the community while working harmoniously with my peers. To get into NHS, there are four pillars one must fulfill, including, scholar, service, leadership, and character. One may not realize it, but these qualities apply all throughout life. In order to be successful, one must achieve some form of each pillar. Being dedicated and committed to learning and improving but also using the knowledge one previously has is to be a scholar. Giving back to one’s community by making improvements or donations or simply just being courteous to one’s neighbor is to give one’s service. Taking the initiative to solve problems and guide others towards
National Technical Honor society is a prestigious club. Having the opportunity to apply for this prestigious society had left one honored. Being in such a prestigious program will open many more doors, and give one more opportunity to succeed in the future. I feel that all the candidates for this prestigious program have the grades and are all capable of being part of this program, but I also feel that by describing my unique set of skills I can merit membership into National Technical Honor Society and be a beneficial member.
Being inducted into the National Honors Society is what I have been waiting for. Becoming a member is nothing more than a dream come true, and I appreciate it greatly. If I am to be chosen as a member I know that I will be a positive and dependable participant in society activities. Due to my abilities and past experiences, I can be considered a valuable candidate because I demonstrate the qualities of leadership, service, and character. I do feel that if I am chosen, I will do nothing detract from the prestige and respectability that is associated with the society.
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
Reaching my goal in becoming a member of the National Honor Society would give me a great sense of pride both academically and personally. As a person I have ambition, academic excellence, and great decision making skills to offer to the NHS. For example, ever since I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society I have been striving to do my academic best for a chance to be in the NHS. I show this with my 4.0 G.P.A that I have held for six straight quarters. This shows my determination to be a part of an organization that will better this community for future generations to come. In addition, I would be very enthusiastic about gaining new experience in leadership, community activities, and co-curricular activities. When I was a part of National Junior Honor Society I accepted as many opportunities as I could; I participated in activities such as: spray painting recycling trash cans, painting recycling boxes, sorting paper after school, and ringing the bell at Christmas time for the Salvation Army while singing Christmas carols. Furthermore, I should be a National Honor Society member because I make the right choices in everyday life. Many students all over the country make the choice to use drugs, alcohol, or tobacco, but I can honestly say that I do not use any of these substances. Not only are these a danger to personal health but they are a danger to the health of the people around them, and every person making the choice to stay away from these substances keeps the society a little safer and a little healthier. Overall, my academic excellence, ambition, and ability to make impeccable decisions show that I would be an exceptional member of the NHS.
Scholarship, leadership, character, service and citizenship are the key building blocks to a successful National Honor Society member. I believe that I represent and exemplify these attributes and possess qualities that would contribute positively to the grandioseness of National Honor Society. Scholarship is an essential key to a successful student and I believe I harbor this characteristic, as I have a vehement commitment to learning. In my opinion, education is crucial to have a prosperous life, therefore, I spend an abundance of my time diligently acquiring knowledge. Moreover, I consistently work to the best of my ability, regardless of merit or acknowledgment.
The four pillars of National Honor Society shaped me more than I ever thought possible. My dedication to my academics, service, and leadership have shaped my character and made me the person I am today. From an early age, my parents taught me I’d have to work hard to get where I wanted to go in life, and I demonstrated that hard work through my academics. We made the difficult decision to leave our public school system due to the academic situation and enter a cyber-charter school when I was in third grade. Since then, I have taken numerous honors and AP classes and have thrown myself into academics, earning a 3.91 GPA and admission into several colleges. I plan to do the same in college and earn a degree in journalism. My service activities
Karl Marx once said, “History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.” As a member of Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, I would like to establish a young scholars league, in the elementary schools, where I can assign small portions of Bayonne histories to each chapter for them to promote it to their schools by having small assemblies. In addition, I can advertise Bayonne High School’s history department by explaining the advantages of participating in the various programs available in this district, such as explaining student accomplishments such as students winning numerous awards in history competitions, and getting scholarships from different universities, and encourage to take the rigorous courses offered within this school. I have also communicates with
