There have been a vast number of lives that have touched mine. Many different people have shared a piece of their soul in my formation. However, it is my mother who is the most important and most influential person in my life. My mother raised me by herself since the day I was born. My father was abusive and she left to make a better life for the both of us. She has worked as many as four jobs at one time. My mother wants to make sure my brothers and I have a better life than she did. It hasn’t always been easy for her, taking care of us on her own, trying to pay bills and making sure we had everything we needed. My mom has always had us involved in sports at a very young age. We always were doing something or involved in something growing up. We went to summer school all through elementary school because she wanted us to get a head start. I remember when we were little she enrolled us I a manners and more class and I can recall when we would go out to eat people would compliment us on how well behaved we were. Equally important are the standard my mother has set for us she has taught us that if you set your goals high then it gives you something to reach for. She also believes that you can do anything you set your mind on. We never went to the schools in our district because my mother wanted to enhance our education. She would say that just because you don’t have money doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have just as good of an education as the well to do. She sent us to Catholic School for a few years till the expense got to be too much and then switched us to a good school in Chandler. We are not allowed to get a grade lower than a C if we do we lose something that is of importance to us, till we bring our grade ba... ... middle of paper ... ... they need. She has volunteered at homeless shelters and worked with the mentally disabled. She gives any clothes or items that we no longe need to the orphanage in Mexico. She always puts others first and I am proud to say that my mother has worked very hard and came a long way. She does no know the words “give up”. If there’s anything she has in abundance, it is perseverance; most importantly, she is able to see the potential in me and gives me the courage to do the things I hesitate to do. Also, she has always been a good friend to me and I will never stop thanking my mother for what she represents in my life. Moreover, I am glad that my mother is my role model because without her in that place I don’t know for sure if the person I would have followed would be as good as she is in fulfilling this task. A good role model is what everyone should have
In the next couple of minutes I am going to talk about how my mom has impacted me to be a better person and help others. Body I consider my mom the most valuable player in my life because of how she shapes me to be a better person everyday. A. My mom always tells me to try and help at least one person everyday.
The greatest woman I’ve ever known always told me that education was important…and she was right. I came from a small town in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri prior to becoming a teenager. At the time, education was abundant in St. Ann, where I lived. I attended a decent elementary school and made good grades, despite mathematics not being my cup of tea. I have
I will start off by talking about my amazing mother and how she helped me out in the long run. My mother taught me to never rely on anyone that I can do whatever I set my mind to. She also told me that life is full of mistakes, and I would always learn from them. She taught me how to cook so if you ever want something to eat you know who to come to.
Throughout my life my mom has always been selfless and generous- especially when it came to her children and grandchildren… ever putting her self last! SHE WAS MY EVERYTHING… Unlike my sister, I was the one that gave my parents their grey hair… It took me longer than most to mature, and the truth is- that’s putting it mildly. Yet through all the ups and downs, and all the times I would end up disappointing her expectations of me, one thing NEVER
The most impactful individual in my life is my mother, Samantha Jarvis, and that is because, she is the one person I know will always be there for me and guide me when I need help. Its safe to say that I would not exist without her (and my dad) and while that is physically true, I also believe that I would not the person I am today without her. My mom has always encouraged me, even from a young age, to chase my passion for learning and find the answers to my questions. She is the one, I get most of morals, ideals, and work ethic from. My mom is one of those people who give a lot and expect nothing in return. She has been the sole provider of my family for the past 18 years due to my father having a broken back and being unable to work. She also the one that does the cleaning around the house, runs errands around town, takes time off work or skips lunch to take me or my sibling to therapy or, to the doctor’s office, and just about everything else.
During my pre adolescent years, as best as I can recall, my mother was the driving influence behind my development. She is a good person and a mother with an iron will and a strict way, and I believe that she was one of my first role models. My father played a part in my development also. He instilled in me the morals and values that I have today and I thank him for that. Unfortunately my father passed away thirteen years ago before I had a chance to tell him that.
To continue on the positive parental influence, my parents did not mind if it was paid or unpaid work roles. They told me that money should not get in the way of your career exploration, and that they have more than enough money saved up for my education. They have always encouraged me to explore the career paths and see which is/are ideal fits for me. They have also emphasized that being academically successful is a great thing to have, but to also keep in mind that health should be valued more than marks. If I tried the best to study for a test, I should not be compromising food and sleep to study more. They have encouraged healthy competition starting at an early age, in terms of sports and academics. Now, sports and academics have become
As the youngest of five children she was often overlooked. The pride of the family often overrode the opportunity to receive health care, handouts and a decent chance to become something. My mother spent her childhood in a tiny house with her family and many relatives. She was never given the opportunities to excel in learning and life like my generation has. My grandfather was a carpenter and on that living fed many hungry mouths. But despite this already unfortunate lifestyle my mother maintained good grades and was on a path to overcoming her misfortune.
Not to sound like a mother’s boy, I will courageously say that my mother had the most influence on my life and the way I see the world, or have at least come to know it. My mother was a fighter in every sense of the word, even during her illness that took her life back in 1989. Even though I only had her for 19 years of my own life, she was a true blessing; I blame her for the goodness that has been instilled in me.
When I really think about what has influenced who I am today and how I view the world around me, I think about my mother. My mother played a huge part in my childhood and raised me to be both open minded and self aware. She’s able to do almost everything from changing the tires on the car to building a table to sewing up clothes and and cooking full course meals. From her, I learned just about everything I know. I grew up to be very independent and capable of doing things on my own, which I am extremely grateful for. The main reason why I am going to college now is also because of my mother. However, I wouldn’t exactly say I’m following in her footsteps as our career choices are extremely different from each others. She went to cosmetology school and I’m studying to become a registered nurse.
Regardless of her challenges, she ingrained her passion, perseverance, and and motivation into the core values that she taught me. As a result, her influence on my life is endless. More importantly, my mother was a survivor. Not only did she raise four children as a single, Black woman, but she did all of which while simultaneously fighting breast cancer for over seventeen years. Despite the difficulties, my mother never succumbed to the severity of her condition. She did not wait to die, but in fact lived her life to the fullest. Ranging from traveling the world, running successful businesses, and being a mother, she left no stone unturned. This is one of the reasons that I respect my mother so much. The fact that she went the extra mile to care for my siblings and I, pursue her own career, while holding on to her life, inspires me to never let my challenges keep me from my living an abundant life. I hope to be a fraction of the woman that my mother was when I grow
I have never had any trouble singing my mother’s praises. My friends and family know that I always appreciated and admired her. I never hesitated to include her in my activities or gatherings, knowing full well that she would probably be the most interesting person there. A testament to this was the wide variety of age groups and people she had as friends.
My mother has taught me so much over the past twenty-seven years and not until now did I realize that my great qualities that I have as a leader, my mother is the person to thank for all of these qualities.
...mportant person in my life and I know that she will be always there for me with help, her love, and her care. She’s a wonderful person, she admires the beauty of life, and as a result she is always in a good mood. Now, like my mother, I’m a positive thinker, and I am a creative person who believes life is what you create it to be. I also know if I have to make any big decisions in my life, I can always ask my mom for advice because she has the wisdom and experience. I also know that she will tell me the truth even if it is not something that I want to hear, but she will tell me with kindness and without any judgment. My mother is my role model because she does so much for me; she gives me everything she has just to make my life easier. I love my mother and I am so thankful that she is the way she is. My mother is always there for me and I would do anything for her.
My mother was not only worry and take care of me, she always by my side when I need her help. I felt sad, my mother always by my side to talk and to console. While I am glad, my mother is always been there to share and listen to me. When I failed to do something, my mother who was gave me advices. She has always supported me in all my choices. She tried to make me strong people with independent minds. I looks to her in hopes that someday I will be as happy, as strong and as well as
