My Individual Development Plan
Each individual is just that: individual. We all have our strengths and weakness. Life is about exploring and improving on those. Growth never ends. It is expanding our minds and attitudes to make life happy and peaceful. My development depends what I do to accomplish my life goals. My carrier path will depend on how I can grow and develop in my field and management capabilities.
I like to think I have many strengths. After review of my character/ personality test, I can see what they are. I am a task-oriented leader, which drives me to finish a project. I have a strong individual work ethic, which allows me to be responsible and not rely on others. I am good at building and leading a team. I am not power oriented, so I am not manipulative and scheming. My preferred power types include collaborating, compromising, legitimate. This means I know that a person does not necessarily need to be in management to be a vital employee. I prefer to use collaborating, compromising, and accommodating techniques when dealing with conflict. I also have a strong ability to provide good feedback.
My individual performance style test revealed that I am conscientious, Open to experience, extravert. My Myers-Briggs Type indicator results said that I am extrovert, intuitive, felling and perceptive. I have a high locus of control which means I feel that I can control the situation I am in with my actions and feelings. I have a moderate self-esteem level. My mot...
Their faith in me allows me to push forward, and drive me to stay on track , so I can reach my goals. In addition, without my passion to want to help others none of my goals I want to achieve would be possible.
The function of the planter fascia is to assist in maintaining the stability of the foot and in securing or bracing the longitudinal arch (Prentice 586). During walking, running, and/or jumping the plantar fascia functions mainly during the heel rise to toe off. This helps to stabilize the arch of the foot by flexing the first metatarsal; it also enables the first metatarsal to carry most of the body’s weight during “toe off”. By acting like a shock absorber, it lessens the load on the foot when it hits the ground.
Before the 1980's, running shoes were cushioned with a fairly basic foam. This foam had a tendency to easily wear out over the course of about 100 miles or less because of the continuous compression it experienced through regular use. Eventually, shoe companies decided to create a shoe that would not wear out as easily as the conventional foam sole. AVIA, a subsidiary of Reebok, hired Al Gross, former space suit engineer, to solve this dilemma. Gross threw away the idea of a foam sole and decided to try to make a mechanical way to cushion athletes. His solution used the same “convolute system” as was used in Apollo space suit joints to provide a rigid, yet flexible, cushioning method. In addition, Gross utilized NASA's method for creating impact resistant helmets, called blow molding, to fabricate his design. After a few years of testing, the Compression Chamber sole was featured in a great number of AVIA's shoe designs (“Spinoff,” n.d.).
Has anybody here ever walked into a shoe store looking for a running shoe? You were probably dazed and confused because there were just so many different brands and styles to choose from. Now a days, shoe stores stock their running sections with different brands and styles. If you are one of those people who has not been shoe shopping in years, then prepared to be shocked. Technology and designs of running shoes have changed drastically. Running shoes are better than ever now, due to these changes. Also, with all the different name brands such as Asics, Brooks, New Balance, Nike and others, you can assure yourself your are paying for a quality product.
Why should runners not wear shoes? First runners should not wear shoes because less collision. Second they avoid more forceful impacts. And last but not less to build strength in the calf and foot muscles. My topic is important because you can get stronger running barefoot.
My five strengths according to the strength finder include; balance, this helps me be aware of treating all people equally regardless of the situation. I am neither in anyone 's favor or against anyone as this to me is selfishness and individualism. This would result in a situation where some people scale heights due to connections while others are lagging behind. I believe that a consistent environment where the rules apply to everyone is the best for individuals to function best (Rath, 2007). Flexibility is my next strength. By knowing that things do not always work out as planned has helped me change the tactics of how I perform my tasks. I do not always expect to have a smooth flow of opportunities or accomplish goals, but
For me to be an effective leader, I must first evaluate my strengths. I took the Gallup 2.0 Strength Finder report which showed my strengths in an insight and action planning guide. The results indicated the top five themes for me were input, learner, responsibility, maximizer and arranger. I believe the evaluation offered an accurate assessment of my strengths. The input theme states my mind is like a sponge, soaking up information. As a lifelong learner, the second theme is also, correct. I have a quest for knowledge about things that interest me. I am responsible, in my job and life. As a maximizer, I focus on long term goals and strive toward excellence. As a nurse, working in an environment of change, the arranger strength in my personality allows me to adapt easily and figure out the best way to accomplish tasks (Strengths, 2012).
One of my greatest skills is being able to be compassionate towards others. By placing myself into someone else’s shoes, I find myself being able to better understand where other people are coming from. I am an extremely caring person that will go to great lengths for anyone. I can easily overlook the differences in other people, and this is what helps me get along with almost anyone that I come across. In order to lead people in a positive direction you need to be able to relate to them on a more personal level. It is much easier when people feel comfortable around their leader. I always like to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry on when it is needed. My strengths include integrity, optimism, faith, innovation, and adaptability. These strengths are important to have in leadership positions. Leaders should have a firm hold on their beliefs and morals in order to have a positive impact on people. Keeping my commitments is crucial to me, because I am a woman of my word. I think this is a good trait in leadership, because people need to be able to count on the person that they look up to. Optimism is also something I value. I belie...
The running activity and the jumping activity had two different results. For the running activity the basketball shoes were the fastest. Then the rubber boots and finally the Nike sandals. For the jumping activity the basketball shoes had the best results again. Followed by the Nike sandals and last was the rubber
My personality type is Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive or ENFP. According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. This assessment is consistent with the results that I received in part I of the exercise. I am an extroverted person who enjoys being around and working with people.

Why are personal growth, development, and continued learning so important? Personal growth is an ongoing process of self-discovery and crucial to achieving success in every area of your life. Jim Rohn, known as America's foremost business philosopher, said it best:
The beginning of the modern day running craze is due greatly to the creation of the modern day running shoe by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, of which was introduc...
