In this essay the two masterful short stories, The Interlopers and The Most Dangerous Game, will be analyzed. The purpose of the analysis will be to determine similarities and differences between the two. The powerful messages and ironic comedy create interesting elements in both stories. The most prominent differences between the two short stories are the setting and the language style. The Interlopers is about the two rival families and their hunting feud. The Dangerous game also has a rivalry between Rainsford and a German huntsman. The two stories also both had groups of people with a plan filled with violence and murder. The one family in the Interlopers, were hunting on their own land, as was the German man in the Dangerous game. Both of these struggles take place in a natural environment as both enemies seek to kill their opponent, and thus both stories represent a desperate struggle to survive and to outlive the other. Both stories move with small biting twists . Both stories lead up to an extremely ironic, and arguably comical, conclusion. The two stories are gut wrenchingly suspenseful at times, from escaping a serial killer deep in a foreboding jungle, to planning to fight to the death as a result of a family feud. Both stories fill the reader with anxious, gut wrenching, edge of the seat, excitement. The other similarities are the foreshadowing contents within both stories that keep the reader guessing. Other times in both stories, the suspense is thickening within the paragraphs. ex; “ Rainsford had fought his way through the bush for two hours. ‘I must keep my nerve. There are many similar between Zaroff and Gradwitz. Zaroff and Gradwitz both enjoyed hunting on their land. They both hunted human on their own land. In Richard Connell’s short story “The Most Dangerous Game” and Saki’s “The Interlopers,” the main characters General Zaroff and Ulrich von Gradwitz are alike in the following ways: both me hunted on his own land, both men hunted, and both men owned land.
The similarities are prolific in their presence in certain parts of the novel, the very context of both stories shows similarities, both are dealing with an oppressed factor that is set free by an outsider who teaches and challenges the system in which the oppressed are caught.
The book takes perspective in the eyes of a Jewish prisoner and the movie is through the eyes of a young german boy, there are many ways they still relate. Each grievous story takes place during the Holocaust. With just that factor of relation, you can already predict how similar they are.
In both novels, the characters represent certain kinds of individuals in today's society. They encounterjealousy, as well as many other conflicts within themselves, and human nature. Ultimately, these two novels deliver the inner conflicts of our society.
Things that are similar about the two novels and how both of their dreams were crushed are both are groups of people who have these dreams and each finds or meets something that can help their dreams come true, the pearl and Candy. Furthermore, the realization of their dreams coming to an end is, in both books, caused by the death of someone who is a part of the dream, Coyotito and Lennie.

In this essay, I will be writing about two short stories , “The Interlopers,” and “The story of an Hour,” in a compare and contrast form. Both stories are suspense stories; Therefore, they will catch you off guard if you are not ready.
Aside from the conditions, which lead to the creation of these works, they share a number of other common threads. Symbolism aside these works are very similar on the surface. Both are a collection of seemingly disjointed images, which when put together by the reader or observer serve up a strong social message. That messages being that the wars and conflicts of the times have twisted the world. This is reinforced by the contorted and misshapen images in both works.
...these two books with different author, different published century, different ways to create the story. It seems like different, but it’s the same in some way.
