The end of the Civil War in 1865 made way for an era of major transformation in American society. The major transformation was known as the Industrial Revolution, an era in which American citizens embraced industrialization and innovation in order to improve life. During the Industrial Revolution the economy expanded and For each of the cardinal virtues, think of a few examples of how you have needed it to make a responsible decision as a teenager. You do not have to get too personal, and you can even think hypothetically (i.e. prudence at a wild party even if you don’t go to those), but try to think of examples that are relevant to young women. For example, say a girl in your class is falsely being accused of telling the principle about students plagiarizing on their English research papers. There are numerous rumors about the girl accusing her of telling the principle all over twitter. You know for a fact that this girl has not told the principle about students cheating because she has been in Russia for the past month visiting family and had no idea that an English paper was assigned. Because the girl didn’t tell (nasty rumors are not due), you clear things up on Twitter by explaining her leave of absence from school and how she didn’t know about the paper.
