The movie begins when a women named Dagny crashes her plan into a ray-shield. This ray-shield is covering what is a vast green valley. On the outside it shows a vast rocky barren valley so that it may be disguised. In this valley covered by this ray-shield holds all the people who gave up their high positions to stop what the world was doing. This enclave or group of people defected and gave up their businesses because of what they believed in. Dagny has crash landed here with minor injuries in what is known as “Gault’s Gulch.” The man who founded the valley and covered it with his invention the ray-shield is known as John Gault. The man who would stop that machine of the world because of what he believed was wrong. John Gault founded this …show more content…

For the outside world believes that all the people who have come to the valley are just missing people. The enclave founded by John Gault which resides in the valley is completely unknown and unheard of. The government is in a bind and wants to grab a hold of John Gault in hopes of restoring their reign upon the people’s opinion of free choice. The three leadership traits I witnessed during the film include selfless service, integrity, and personal courage. When John Gault stands for what he thinks is morally wrong he stands for what is right. The government is taking away free will of the people and most follow along because they are scared to face the government. Gault takes it upon himself to do what is legally and morally right by standing for his beliefs instead of others. The other is selfless service when Gault stands alone and takes responsibility for making the world’s motor stop. He alone makes himself the image of the what him and the others believe in. Gault provides shelter for those who believe in his cause and saves Dagny from imprisonment while putting himself in danger. Personal courage is the last leadership trait focused on
