There are two important advantages of comprehension model towards the listening skill. First, it relates to our experience and exposure we have gone through. Comprehension model gives a good exposure by target language to natural samples meanwhile experience enables to build a message logically. Then, the next importance of comprehension model is where long-term listening should be enhanced. As we all know, it allow students to pass their exams. However, the comprehension model has its own weakness towards teaching listening skill. The raw material will be different and readers would face difficulties by assuming that listening is more demanding compared to reading skill. It is shown that teachers could approach the learners better regarding listening skill through this process in the classroom. This approach clearly demonstrates on how listening skills lessons should be carried out in higher level educational programmes, lesson plans and classroom activities. Meaning building process is carried out for the learners to build good scale in decoding messages using their knowledge that they have acquired which is known as prior knowledge. The article, written by Kimberly Tohill, discusses about the rise in popularity of podcasts and how they could be implicated in the classrooms to help students in the process of learning another language. Tohill talks about how learning a new language as people getting older becomes harder than when they were children. The reason being children are more exposed to the language while growing up through parents whose native language was not English. How do children acquire language? What are the processes of language acquisition? How do infants respond to speech? Language acquisition is the process of learning a native or a second language. Although how children learn to speak is not perfectly understood, most explanations involve both the observations that children copy what they hear and the inference that human beings have a natural aptitude for understanding grammar. Children usually learn the sounds and vocabulary of their native language through imitation, (which helps them learn to pronounce words correctly), and grammar is seldom taught to them, but instead that they rapidly acquire the ability to speak grammatically. Though, not all children learn by imitation alone. Children will produce forms of language that adults never say. For example, “I spilled milk on hisself” or “Debbie wants a cookie”. This demonstrates that children have the desire to speak correctly and have self-motivating traits to communicate. This supports the theory of Noam Chomsky (1972)-that children are able to learn grammar of a particular language because all intelligible languages are founded on a deep structure of universal grammatical rules that corresponds to an innate capacity of the human brain. Adults learning a second language pass through some of the same stages, as do children learning their native language. In the first part of this paper I will describe the process of language acquisition. The second part will review how infants respond to speech.

Mobile assisted language learning enables students to save “the time fragment” to learn a foreign language, instead of only learning in the classroom during a certain time of the day. The skill of listening is a skill that I believe everyone should have but most people lack. Many people do not realize that listening is not merely the act of hearing a sound but of paying close attention to what someone is saying and trying to understand the message that they are trying to relate to you. Most times people say they are listening when in all actuality they are merely hearing you but not even attempting to understand what is being spoken of. The advantages of being a good listener are vast. This skill can positively affect many parts of our everyday life and interaction with people. Since the beginning of time, it has been assumed that we have a right to speak and use words, thus we naturally begin our development of language during the early stages of live. After years of grasping and perfecting our vocabulary and language, it seems unnecessary to study the purpose of our development. Why, then, should we study “oral communication?” There are many purposes, benefits, and institutions that branch from oral communication.
