What happens if what you hate the most in life you'll have to do it anyways? Like for many students are annoying to take math classes and you do not have an option because if you don't take it then you're not able to accumulate credits and graduate. I am going to talk about why I hate my job; I work at a call center for AT&T where people call just when they have issues with their service. The most irritating is knowing that you can't just quit because is the only job that will fit your school's schedule and for the recession that this country is going through and people are getting laid-off. I do not like my job because I am not getting pay enough for what for what I have to do and suffer and customers are always disrespectful.
I hate my job because I am not getting paid what other companies are paying their employees with the same position as me. Other companies pay more to their employees because they know that it’s not the best job in the world interacting with upset customer. My company has a lot of policies and you are just able to do what they tell you to do....
Rick Reilly, born in Boulder Colorado, in 1958 was a longtime columnist for sports illustrated, later on in 2007 he joined ESPN The Magazine where his essay Why I Love My Job appeared in the December 14, 2009 edition for the 100-years-in-review issue. In his essay Reilly brings up his writing days in college and how his journalism professor told him “ You’re better than sports.” Reilly disagrees with his professor and lists all the reasons why he will never be better than sports. Why I Love My Job is an essay that touches the hearts of many sport fans showing them how beautiful the thing they love is because sports has no grey areas, sports is something that is raw, sports brings multitudes together.
Day after day, I work at Home Depot. I’ve worked at Home Depot for 6 months. My position there is a cashier. A few months have gone by and all I do is show up and do my job as a cashier. The cashiers have someone who runs the front end along with every register in the store, and that person is a head ashier. After what I see the head cashiers go through, I would never want to be a head cashier for the rest of my life.
...y it? Also in most low paying jobs there isn’t much room for promotion. In the end the low paying job leaves you small savings and little spending cash as well as poor retirement funds, were as the high paying job secures your future and leaves room for improvement.
There comes a time when you ought to start doing what you want. Take a job that you love. You will jump out of bed in the morning. I think you are out of your mind if you keep taking jobs that you don 't like because you think it will look good on your resume (Buffet, 2006, pg. 66).
Maybe you are one of those people who are pretty successful on their chosen fields, yet still feel unfulfilled. Lots of people are coming into their daily jobs without a sense of self and are unhappy. Somehow deep inside you you are dying to leave the career that feeds you.
I do not really like my job. It is a misunderstood job. It is expensive, not that m...
All in all, work is just like a basic unit of life. A person who has been working at the same job for his entire life may not necessarily like that job. In fact, people work for different reasons such as their families, their societies, or even themselves. The first material thing that a person receives after working is its salary, but money alone cannot define a job. Some people actually enjoy working. Furthermore, work brings a purpose to life.
HOG SLAUGHTERHOUSE PROCESSOR - I work in a slaughterhouse where we process hogs. They come in by the truckload and sometimes I have to lead them to the killing pen and kill them with a bullet in the head. Usually this job means that the technician ends up covered with blood. The hog is then placed upon meat hooks by its hind legs. After the hog is lifted into position, its neck is slit so that blood can drain into a large vat. Sometimes it seems that gallons of blood pours out. One benefit, though, is cheap hams and bacon. We get to buy meat at very low cost. Too bad we don't make enough money to buy very much. $9.00 as processor. It's a living.
My current job pays well, I do like it for the money and the ability to finally pay off my active duty debts, but it is not what I do not want to do the rest of my life.
For instance, there seems to be a lot of pressure for business students to declare a major in accounting or finance. Even though I have always been a strong reader and writer, I fell into this hype by forcing myself to be the expected type of business student. As a result, I ended up taking an accounting position for my first co-op, which I knew right off the bat wasn’t the job for me. For instance, I remember trying to discuss numbers on a financial statement with a co-worker, and I said that the dollar amount was in the thousands, rather than the hundreds of thousands. After this mistake, I realized that accounting required a type of student who loves numbers, and math has never been my strong suit. Not that I can’t improve my financial skills or have an appreciation for those who have them, but I would never feel comfortable as an
Another reason may also come from an employee getting a good, decent salary. This not only improves the job satisfaction, but gives the member of staff an understanding of the fact that they get fair payment for their labors. “[But] if an employee does not get satisfaction in their work, they may seek satisfaction in other work unrelated areas. He or she may also be content with work as it relates to those work-related areas. Job dissatisfaction may also cause an employee to quit” (Robbins).
This thread will discuss and analyze the business problem of job dissatisfaction through the application of Core Self-Evaluations and the personality-job fit theory. This work will also offer a spiritual and biblical examination of job dissatisfaction as they relate to the biblical principle of Covenant. Two key elements of Covenant, hesed and mutual accountability will also be examined.
You might not really be unhappy about the industry or your style of work. It might just be the organisation or the team that doesn’t suit you. you could end up being happy doing what you are doing now but by changing the company or taking a small break from it all – there are tons of routes to explore if you find yourself unhappy at work.
In every work place you will find employees who are happy with what they do and employees who are just there to complain and collect a paycheck. My topic for this discussion will cover job dissatisfaction.
Much like Benjamin Franklin believed, I feel that a person should take advantage of the time the person has in life with activities a person wants to do or needs to do. A person should not spend much time on activities the person does not want to do. Life is way too short to concern oneself with work or other activities one wants nothing to do with all the time. When possible, I try to forget about my responsibility and just let go of the ‘things’ that do not matter to me. I think a person should try to occupy oneself with something productive, worthwhile, or necessary at all times. Even though a person’s life is left up to a person to live, I cannot imagine thinking that I owe my time to society through working a job that I simply despise. I am a compassionate person, but I do not owe anyone anything regarding my time.
