I believe the working with ideas and planning phase has improved as the topics for the research project had to be approved. After reviewing the subjects, I chose the first topic and then realized this is a significant matter that would allow for the other potential topics to be covered. Composing a thesis and developing an introduction to grasp the reader’s attention and give them a brief insight into what the following written work is about has improved as the semester has gone along. I believe that because I try to evaluate my writing from the reader’s perspective since the reader does not know as much about the written work as the writer or me.

The feedback received from the instructor pinpointed and forced me to acknowledge what may have been lacking in my writing with distinctive regard to my work being choppy. At the beginning of the semester my writing was all over the board; however, as the semester has progressed I try to write with a plan rather than just freestyling.
The communication feedback that I received on my report was appreciated as well because I chose an emotional writing and I wanted my story to be heard and perceive how I lived it. The rough draft was choppy, and I missed parts because I lived it and therefore the reader had trouble following and understanding what happened. The emotion came through in my writing; however, the organization needed to be improved upon as this is one of the areas of writing that are difficult for me although I recognize that I need to be aware of this when composing my
