The Persian Gulf War
Why did a coalition of over 30 nations find it was necessary to go to war to help Kuwait after it was invaded by Iraq? How did the Coalition defeat the Iraqis’? Although the Coalition won there were many consequences to face. The causes of the war started with Saddam Hussein, then the Iraqi’s economic condition, and the dispute over boundaries, and finally oil. When the Iraqi’s invaded Kuwait a coalition was formed against them, which consisted of the use of many types of military strategies. When the coalition won there were casualties, the Gulf War Syndrome, and still some things to deal with in Kuwait.
Since the invasion of Kuwait caught the world by surprise the question in everybody’s mind was – What were the reasons for the invasion? The first reason was Saddam Hussein. Saddam had two distinct characteristics: one, the determination to be remembered in history, two, and a certain vision of the future. Saddam wanted to have a unified Arab world with Baghdad as its center. Hussein also felt that after that after the fall of the Ottoman Empire there was an uneven distribution of wealth from oil reserves to the allied nations. Iraq’s only hope of survival was clearly oil revenues from its neighbor, Kuwait. Iraq’s economy was also hurt with the consequences of the 8-year Iran-Iraq War. When Iraq’s leaders claimed victory there were three-quarters of a million casualties (one third Iraqis), and heavy d...

...ded Kuwait a Coalition was formed against them, started by President George Bush. Many countries joined the Coalition to help out. The war started with air strikes and ended with ground troops. When Iraq was driven out of Kuwait they destroyed the country. After the war American Gulf War Vets were faced with the new Gulf War Syndrome and some casualties. The UN also had some problems to take care of with Iraq. Kuwait needed some rebuilding but remained an independent nation.

But Iraq didn’t leave Kuwait untouched, Iraqi troops that had been in Kuwait destroyed millions of dollars worth of valuables. Also as they retreated they detonated explosives at many oil wells. This messed up the environment so much in the Persian Gulf. This made water contaminated for years in Iraq. Desert storm, and Desert shield both made huge differences in the middle east even to this day. Because if Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia wouldn’t of had all of the different countries help that helped, then Iraq could’ve easily took them over and with all that oil and Saddam Hussein combined that could’ve been very dangerous. Thank God that didn’t

Furthermore, it is highly possible and very probable that this increase in IQ is not directly caused by the chemical species of alcohol but by the personality traits that lead to a higher alcohol consumption. Again, this would be very interesting to analyse with the help of electroencephalographic tests. At Hopkins, I would be able to seek mentorship from professors Mark P. The guidance and opinions of these scientists will provide crucial help in my process of researching this topic.
Operation Desert Shield was launched by President H.W. Bush to increase the amount of forces and troops in areas surrounding Kuwait and mainly in Saudi Arabia in response to the 120,000 troops and 2,000 tanks invading Kuwait. The United Nations called for the Iraqi army’s extraction from their presence in Kuwait, however Hussein went ag...

In September 1980, a very destructive war with Iran was started by Saddam Hussein. This was a result of an invasion in Iran. This invasion spurred an eight year war. Saddam used c...
Then on the 22nd of August, Iraqi soldiers pervaded Kuwait taking and occupying everything of Kuwait government and property. Kuwait then sent out a cry for help to the big almighty country of the United States of America. Sheikh Jaber Al Sabah the current emir of Kuwait immediately met with the United State’s Secretary of Defense Richard Cheney at the time to ask for some sort of assistance to help get back Kuwait and drive the Iraqi forces back to Iraq. The United States then agreed with the Sabah and then started making plans of how they would take back Kuwait. The U.S gave specific orders to Saddam Hussein the leader of Iraq to withdraw his troop by the 15th of January of the year of 1991. If Hussein failed to do so the U.S would basically help Saddam and his military get out of Kuwait.

The Iraq war, also known as the second Gulf War, is a five-year, ongoing military campaign which started on March 20, 2003 with the invasion of Iraq by U.S. troops. One of the most controversial events in the history of the western world, the war has caused an unimaginable number of deaths, and spending of ridiculous amounts of money. The reason for invasion war Iraq’s alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction, which eventually was disproved by weapons inspectors. Many people question George W. Bush’s decision to engage a war in Iraq, but there might be greater reason why the decision was made. The ideas of George W. Bush might have been sculpted by one of the greatest works of all time, "The Prince."
I was deployed to Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo when Operation Iraqi Freedom kicked off. I remember wondering how this war would affect my life or the direction of my career and unit. In March of 2003 I found out. Because of the war, our replacements, already having been trained for real world action, were sent to Iraq, extending my already long six month tour to ten. The start and end of that war, as a whole, had its effects on not just me and my unit, as I was deployed there twice, but on the whole world. The outcome of a war can be explained one way or the other. The effects of which can echo throughout the ages. But the battles that bring you to the wars conclusion are the building blocks to the character of that war. One such battle that helped define the character of Operation Iraqi Freedom was the first battle for Fallujah also known as Operation Vigilant Resolve.
The Persian Gulf War was a time period of confusion. H.W. Bush was just elected into presidency in the United States. The Cold War had subsided and the Berlin Wall had just been torn down. It all seemed calm for the brief years preceding the Persian Gulf War. Nobody expected Iraq to invade Kuwait, the Middle East was blindsided. Nations within the area called for help to stop Iraq from wherever they could get it. The United States responded fast and with action. President H.W. Bush sent in troops and supplies to calm this unexpected invasion, but it soon became an all-out war. Saddam Hussein ruled over Iraq during this time, and he sent his military to invade Kuwait. The causes of the war are often not thought of, but the effects of the war are widely known. These effects are devastating for every country that was involved in this conflict.
Many reasons led to the start of a war with the nation of Iraq. One of those reasons was the

The Battle of Singapore took place during World War II from January 31 to February 15, 1942. The two opposing forces were the British and Japanese. Lieutenant General Author Percival led 85, 000 men to defend the war while Lieutenant General Tomoyuki Yamashita commanded the invasion with 36, 000 men. The onslaught to invade British Malaya commenced in December 8, 1941. During this period, General Yamashita started invading this British colony from Indochina and subsequently from Thailand. The Japanese forces that invaded Malaya were obviously outnumbered by the British forces, but they intelligently concentrated their forces and applied combined army skills learned and acquired in earlier campaigns to drive back and flank their enemies frequently. The Japanese forces rapidly acquired air superiority over the Britons, and they exacted a demoralizing blow on the British forces, when a Japanese aircraft sank two integral British battleships. The Japanese also used bicycles and light tanks to swiftly maneuver through the peninsula’s jungles, in order to attack the British armies. Although General Percival was reinforced, his forces were unable to halt the Japanese invasion and in the end, they withdrew from the peninsula and took refuge in the island of Singapore to prepare for the final fight with the anticipated Japanese forces. In the end, the British army lost the war because the Japanese forces expertly combined speed, savagery, and surprise without permitting the British forces to re-group and strategize. The Japanese were able to invade Singapore because of their dominance on the unprepared British forces. They efficiently applied the principles of mass, surprise, objective and unity of command by focusing on ...
In short, it can be said that immigration is a natural process of movement of non-native individuals into a country from very past. Liberty is the mother of goodness and virtue, and “independence is happiness.” All independent countries and territories have the right to fight for their recourses, especially oil. The Gulf war between Iraq and Kuwait has involved the demanding of annexation of Kuwait’s land to Iraq, declaring it as Iraqi territory. This claim was an excuse to get hold of Kuwait’s sufficient and plentiful amount of oil and recourses. On August 2, 1990 at 2:00am, Iraq secretly commenced an invasion of Kuwait. The state of Kuwait was forcefully annexed, and in a few days Saddam Hussein has proclaimed that it was the nineteenth province of Iraq. Immoral and uncivilized battles have emerged between the two political parties, as well as the loss of innocent and blameless souls. The invaders caused so much destruction to the state's groundwork and infrastructure, and the burgling of homes was widespread. Iraqi soldiers attempted to change all Kuwaiti car license plates to Iraqi ones. Above all, the Iraqi’s treatment to the Kuwaitis was ruthless and merciless. Iraqi troops held thousands of citizens who were questioned in an uncivilized manner. There were also numerous incidents of murders and rape. Kuwait fought blood and tears for their land, oil, and their freedom. ...
