The website for the Life Map is http://valenciacollege.edu/web/home-community/lifemap. I third resource is Clubs and Organizations that could help me through my college experience here at Valencia College. Joining a club/ organization helps you meet people that are interested in they same things you and can help out if you need anything. The website for clubs and organizations is http://valenciacollege.edu/studentdev/clubs2.cfm. The fourth and final resource is Blackboard on atlas. On blackboard I will submit all my test, quiz, and assignments on here to be graded. I can get my notes from classes of power points that my professor posts and I can check my grades in my courses. Also, if I have a problem with anything a can message my professor or classmates through here. I can see announcements, my personal information, calendars, etc. Blackboard is very useful and it can be found on your atlas under courses. Theses four resources will help me through my time here at Valencia
My academic goals are very well delineated. I want to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Harvey Mudd College. Harvey Mudd
My short-term goals will be completed throughout High School. I am taking a lot of Mathematical classes in High School, this year I am taking Statistics and Business Math. Next year I will either take Calculus or Precalculus. I like taking math courses because there is a lot of math in anyone's life time. Also my career choices require a lot of math, most classes they like to see I have already taken. I plan to get high grades in all of my classes so Colleges will take me seriously. One of my favorite classes is Statistics and I have a decent grade in it too. My activities at school include being in the Woodshop Club. It is very enjoyable for me and I hope to do more in woodworking as I grow older as a hobby. Activities outside of school include mainly Boy Scouts and work. I plan to get my Eagle Scout rank and I might go on to get Eagle Palms. I work as a Concrete laborer and I also do some finishing, it is a very
The plan that I have laid out to reach my goal of wanting to be a construction worker is, after highschool I will attend OSU-OKC. In my senior year I will attend the vo-tech to get some of basics finished. Some of the personal goals that I set for myself is that I want to finish college, get a degree, get a job, and much more. I plan on reaching these goals by putting forth effort as well as studying and staying motivated.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
Everyone has a goal when they realized something needs to be done in a certain amount of times. People set goals to meet their expectations and effectiveness on their journey with no hesitation. Every sets of goal have a limit, and it follow the deadline on how we set our goal. A set of goal is a dream that we built to become reality or sometime it can be a total failure. Setting a goal isn’t enough for individual and should not be.
My project was about me coaching a U8 girls soccer team. My goal was to have every player on the team learn how to play soccer and be able to play every position on the field by the end of the season. I coached my players by teaching and mentoring them so that they could advance in necessary skills needed to play soccer which were dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork. I chose this as my project because my greatest passion in life is playing soccer. I spend around 15 hours a week practicing and playing soccer. So when I decided to choose a project based on my personal interests, soccer was my first choice. I also love to help out others and the community so I spent a lot of time researching ways to influence my community as well as spend time playing soccer. I finally decided to work with my community’s local recreation center and I was assigned a team of young kids to coach.
Henry David Thoreau once said, “In the long run, men hit only that they aim at, therefore they had better aim at something high.” I agree with Thoreau completely. When you have goals in life, you’re going to do anything and everything to accomplish those goals. Therefore why not set higher goals that you will endeavor just with diminutive amount of more effort? One semester of English has gone by and there's another semester to go. Even though I have done fairly well in English the first semester, I would like to do even better the second semester. I can only do better if I have a plan and this plan is the different types of goals I am going to set for myself. You can’t be a good student by just doing well in one aspect of any subject. You need to become better in all aspects of the subject and become a better student overall.
I am writing to bring you up to date on the progress that I have made on my educational goals, career goals, goals completed, goals in progress, fie year goals and action steps, ten year goals and actions steps, and potential obstacles to achieving goals. I am confident you will find the results of the report useful for evaluating the progress of my educational and career goals.
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
As a child, I had always imagined myself being a Professional Soccer Player. I played soccer every day either in parks, on the grass or turf, with friends in the street or on any concrete floor where I could kick the ball and work on my dribbling and passing skills. I found myself forfeiting my food funds to buy a game ticket. My favorite team while growing up is Arsenal F.C, it’s a team located in North London which is highly recognized by their unique and fascinating style of play. Growing up in Nigeria makes my dream to become a soccer player a little difficult, because there are not a lot platform that promotes young athletes achieve their dream. On the other hand, my parents which I was hoping that they will guide me towards my dream,
What are goals? Goals are targets that you take step. Setting goals is important because they push you to improve yourself and help you guide yourself through life. “If you don't know where you are going, you'll end up someplace else”. ~David P. Campbell. 1 I think that everyone needs to set goals. It doesn’t matter who you are, you need goals to move forward in life and to improve yourself as a person. When setting goals you can set long-term goals and short-term goals. Long-term goals are goals that take a longer time to accomplish and require a lot of planning. An example of a long-term goal is starting your own business. This requires a lot of planning and savings. A short-term goal is a goal that does not take as much time to complete
All your life growing up, you don 't have to make any big decisions. This all changes senior year when you have to make a decision about what you are going to do with your life after high school. What you choose to do can dictate how you spend your time and money. If you do not make a choice you will not be able to move on towards being a self supporting adult. Decisions are hard to make but essential to keep moving forward.
Many people tend to set goals. They can set goals for their personal life, academics, or even for their professional lives. You can literally set a goal for pretty much anything you can imagine. I believe that people should set goals, they help you stay focused and want to do better for the future. Goals change all of the time though, because of a lot of different reasons, maybe you found that one thing just really is not what you want to do with your life, so you find something else to do. To me that is just how life is, my goals will most likely change as I am getting older and trying to find what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Growing up, goals change dramatically. A five-year olds goal is to get the coloring page done. As people go through school, goals obviously change. A freshman’s goal may be to learn the school so he or she doesn’t get lost. Senior’s goals grow to finding where they will spend the next four years or what kind of career they will grow upon. Then, of course goals continue to change as people get older and enter into different stages of life. In this essay, I am going to talk about how my goals in different aspects of my life and how they have transformed, what they are currently, and what they may turn into in the future.
It has been my craving in every aspect of life to do things differently, chart my own path and tread in to uncharted territory. Nine years back, this what made me join a course in bachelor of marine engineering at MERI, the only institute in India exclusively offering such a course. Idea of venturing in to high sees, braving the storms with only handful of resources and almost completely cut off from out side world made adrenaline pumping in to my veins. All this along with opportunity to get exposure to highly sophisticated systems on board ships, which was fodder for my technical bent of mind seemed perfect for my adventure seeking personality. Through out my career progression I have made such decisions like joining LNG shipping pool of my company and seeking extra professional qualification of eligibility to sail on diesel engine driven as well as turbine driven ships
