Its main characters include: Vanessa Hudgens, as Agnes “Apple” Bailey, an abused and pregnant teen; Rosario Dawson, as June Bailey, Apple’s biological mother; Brendan Fraser, as Tom Fitzpatrick, Apple’s biological father (Krauss, Claire, Rice, & Steindorff, 2013).
