Many people believe that George was wrong for killing Lennie, but if you know what George was thinking in that situation you would have done the same thing.I believe George did the right thing by killing Lennie because if you think about the situation they were already in if he would have let him live in that situation would have got even worse than it was. Let's say he didn't kill him does that mean that Curly and the other guy wasn't going to? Instead of letting a stranger kill him, that was an example that lead up to George killing Lennie instead of letting curly and everyone else kills him with his friend. But if it was one of your love ones that had a disease that brought them pain everyday and everyday they were suffering and some of you wouldn't think about what they wanted because you love them and want them to live but that person want to die and you can take that away from them that's a decision for that person to make if they can. Example is Heather Davidson, who smothered churchgoing 81-year-old cancer patient with a pillow, she was trying to go ahead and kill him hours before he was going to die, the guy was 81 old and had cancer, there was no chance of him going to live and even if he did he would be living for long he would have died of age.
