Art is the subject I have grown up with and has become my passion from a young age. As I have gotten older my love for art has grown, as well as my skills. In second year I realised that it was something I wanted to pursue in the future, art is now the main component of my personality and my life. Art is something which captivates me because it is a way to express myself which is unique to me which is why I want to study Fine Art. The flexibility in the Fine Art course is an area which I have had an interest in because it has a flexible use of media, this appeals to me as it allows me to explore themes without having set boundaries whilst experimenting with different media and techniques that I am not yet confident with. The variety in Fine Art will allow me to broaden both my approach and knowledge - developing my skills, techniques and knowledge is something which I strive for in my artwork and personal life. I've always been curious person which is why I enjoy analysing artists work to find out what influenced them at particular points in their life. Studying Fine Art will be a course that allows me to explore my appreciation for other artists work, especially from different periods, it will also continue to influence and inspire my art work. …show more content…

Throughout the six years - I have developed my skills and ideas into sophisticated and well-rounded pieces of work. Over the years I have been gradually more independent - and always able to take criticism well. Any criticism I am given I use it to develop an idea to make it as strong as possible. The interest I have in analysing artist's work to find deeper meaning which has allowed me to develop meaning of my art.
