Thankfully, this is not as complicated as 1 Nenokkadine. Nannaku Prematho is a simple story of a son taking revenge on the guy who did wrong to his father. A typical commercial storyline but since it is Sukumar’s movie it is told in lavish, stylish and emotional way with too much stress on logic, science, butterfly effect, psychology. The film puts burden on your mind at the same time gives pleasure for being different from the regular commercial entertainers. Sukumar reveals the total story and hero’s mission in the very beginning and focuses on how NTR woos Rakul in the first half which is enjoyable one. The love track between NTR and Rakul, though full of geometry and other things, reeks of novelty. Trouble begins in the second half as the revenge drama is dragged on and on. Also the last moments have good emotion but the sequences are too
was dramatic but it never went too far and became sappy and overdone. This film
I feel that the movie has no weaknesses. This is because even though I had a few things I didn’t like such as the anonymity given, I realised that there was a reason for this which I explained in my strengths of the movie below.
fragmented by the interruptions of song and dance, lending a sense of unreality. I believe Mira Nair successfully achieved her aim to make a Bollywood film on her own terms. As a director, she effectively combined the techniques of sound, editing, costume, colour and location to produce a fairly unique Bollywood film. Her message of the continuing modernisation of India, and her criticisms of both the societies she illustrates in the film comes across clearly, as do the more controversial points she brings up that Bollywood, as a film industry, does not typically address. Its appeal and effectiveness can be measured by the huge range of global audiences it has attracted, both Western and Eastern, which indicates that she accomplished her goal of making a realistic movie, breaking the traditional Bollywood mould.
The Namesake. Dir. Mira Nair. Prod. Mira Nair and Lydia Dean Pilcher. By Sooni Taraporevala. Perf. Kal Penn, Tabu , and Irrfan Khan. Fox Searchlight Pictures, 2007.
I like the artistic picture in the film and I think that the true story conforms enough. In my opinion, this film does not reach the top mark, mostly because of the perceived missing sequences. I would give the film the mark 4 out of 5.
The plot is about human weakness. Hatred, jealousy, lust can make anyone loses his mind and do the most unthinkable acts. We should understand our human nature and not be motivated by these evil characteristics to do thing to harm others. At the same time, there are many wicked people around, who will use many manipulative skills to persuade us to do evils and we must resist it.
...s film is tense enough that you are on edge from the production company logo to the ending credits. Having been horribly desensitized to fictional violence over the years, it is refreshing to see a movie that is not afraid to invoke the natural emotion during a horror film to its most extreme. This also leads to the knowledge that not everything will come out rosy for some, if not all, of our core group.
...r, this movie is lack of depth of storyline. The audiences can even predict what will happen in the next scenes. Moreover, the ending of this movie is too cheesy and irrational according to me. If only they change the ending to become more interesting and rational, I will give a four or five stars out of five. In spite of a lame twist ending, this movie is a perfect example to show that managers should be able to motivate and challenge their employee. It is important to remember that a happy employee means a productive employee.
I have to disagree with both these reviews. I believed that the story was brilliantly written and the cinematography was beautiful. This movie touched me and had me in tears which believe me is hard to do. I do agree with the New York Times and New Yorker that it was a little dragged out and that Kiera Knightly acting was over rated. Other than that I would defiantly recommend this movie.
It is successful both in the domestic market, and internationally. This essay sets out to understand this phenomenon. First, it attempts to trace South Korean cinema’s comeback story. I feel a need to do this because I find that so many of my South Korean friends and colleagues are reluctant to admit this, or focus solely on the problems the industry is facing in the future. There may be worries about the future, and there may be “ifs” and “buts” about the present state of the South Korean film industry.
Finally the movie is a good movie. Actually this movie doesn’t need any improvement. The writer, actresses, and actors did their best. They tried to make a point and be a creative about it and that is exactly what they did. It is an amazing movie. I
3. Results? A great script, concentrated direction, brilliant lighting and cinematography, etc. all helped make the film very good. But the core of this film is definitely the emotion. The acting was wonderful and the story was nothing short of great. These were the hearts of the film.
The movie Me Before You is another tear-jerking film that will surely elicit different reactions from its viewers. It seeks to define how powerful love is and it conveys the message that to love truly is to let the other person live the life that he or she deserves. Also, it proves that opposite personalities do really attract. So, if you can’t decide whether you want a feel-good romantic movie or something that could make you really emotional and puts a big “Why?” in your head over and over again in the end, then I bet this movie is just the right combination for you.
This film really focuses on the characters. Their thoughts, anger, distress, and mistakes become part of your mistakes. This deals with a father’s s priority and how he will achieve that priority by using unethical ways like torturing an innocent man. Bringing up child abduction and torture are
The movie reached my line of satisfaction because of the scene when the plane was shown as if it was going on crash to the rugby field where the South Africa’s president was. However, that didn’t happen. It was a trick and there was a surprise in that scene that nobody has expected. The surprising element was carefully thought and delivered. There was no warning or moments that indicate something wrong will
