The identity of America was built by individuals having the courage to stand-up against injustice. Native Americans are the first people to live in America. The Native Americans were not treated well by the British. The British did not show concern for the needs or sufferings of the Naïve Americans, such their sickness or even their deaths. The Native Americans felt the British did not treat them like human beings. Chief Pontiac, a Native American leader, made an important speech to his people in 1776 to tell them they must fight back against the British because of these injustices.
