Introduction To understand the best ways of managing myself as a potential team leader I have examined the relationship between time and stress management. I scrutinized the way I manage my own time by keeping a time log also surveying colleagues in a questionnaire, to explore the importance of time management and its relationship to the causes and symptoms of stress. My overall aim is to minimize my own stress and become a more effective leader. Conclusion Through researching time and stress management techniques, questioning colleagues and examining how I conduct my own time at work I will be able to avoid becoming overwhelmed by stress. In managing my own work load with a clearer prioritized system (urgent/important matrix) and delegating or discarding tasks that do not require my time to complete, I will keep stress levels down. Also using relaxation to stem the effects of stress and knowing where support can be accessed will enable me to become an effective team leader within Romec.

In the workplace, time management is an important factor in everyone’s day-to-day work. If a person’s time is well managed, it is possible to achieve a greater amount in a shorter space of time. How effectively people manage their time has a major influence on aspects of their working lives and their personal lives. Effective time management can have a hugely positive effect on a person, it can lead to a focused and disciplined mentality, giving a higher level of productivity, greater efficiency and an all round positive attitude in life. This benefits the individual, their team, the company they work for and also their friends and family. An example of this is an employee who prioritises their jobs at the start of the day; this gives them a structured day and ensures they have time to complete all of the important jobs. However, if time is poorly managed it can lead to inefficiencies, work overload and added pressure, this could eventually lead on to other issues such as stress.
In the workplace, it can be a challenge to juggle several different responsibilities that you may have to complete within a certain time period. Time management is an essential quality for a person to have wherever they work. "Whatever your reasons for doing what you do, better time management at work means you continually strive to improve your effectiveness and your efficiency," (Tom Wilson, 2017) In otherwords, time management improves an individual's overall work ethic and helps them to succeed. In order to gain a greater understanding of the importance of time management in the workplace and improve my skills of time management, I am inserting myself into one of the scenarios that was given to me and state what I would do in that situation.
Besides that, to managing the stress effectively for themselves, it is very important for managers understand the organizational stress process well enough to assist other with their experiences of stresses. In additions, stress occurs in human life is frequency because there are many challenge people need to face in daily. Lower anxiety and stress improves performance of employees (Donnelly & Ivancevich, 1975) . Good effective time management is a core skill, a differentiating factor which allows you to have an edge over other people (Williams & Cooper 2002). Time management is not optional; it is something that everyone has to acquire in order to work effectively, to achieve work-life balance and most importantly helping us to stay focus. Everyone practices time management to some degree; the only question is how well they do it and how it affects what they do (Hawkins 1996).
As a future IHP, it is important to be able to cope with stress and ensure that I do not burnout (Ross & Deverell, 2004:305). Along with a thorough understanding of what stress and burnout is, I will use a personal past experience to explain how I will develop stress-management strategies and implement them in my behaviour.

People in the type A group tend to be more aggressive in pursuing their goals, noticeably impatient, and very time urgent. They always feel the need to double up their effort and speed to achieve their goals. On the other hand, is the type B personalities who are very cautious, patient, and good at working on long term goals even if the results looks bleak at the first instance.
