The suicide rate is more than that of the homicide rate
Do you know there are over one million people who death because suicide and homicide? Nowadays, suicidal and homicidal problems have become concerned for people. The most people look that homicidal problems are dangerous and have to solve quickly. Also, they think that homicide is the most cause of death. However, they think wrong because the rate of suicide is higher than 60 percentages of homicide rates when compared. The risk factors of suicide rate are higher than that of the homicide rate because of following reasons; physical illness, psychiatric disorders, and social and economic problems which lead to increase in the rate of suicide cases.
Firstly, the physical illness can lead to suicide because people who suffer from physical illness will feel low self-esteem, so it can lead to suicide. Schneider (n.d.) said physical illness is a risk factor that supposed over 70 percentages of suicides. Chronic physical illness is related particularly with depression and substance abuse. However, the latter risk factor of medical illness is still related to suicide risk that increase. Suicidal people are frequently experiencing did not get diagnosed and treated the depression. Butcher, et al. (2011) explained that although depression is related to suicide, some other mental illness disorder is still normally related. The 90 percentage of people who attempted and successful suicide has some mental disorder and people who have two or more mental disorders are higher risk than people who have only one mental disorder. Unfortunately, there is there are only a handful had been diagnosed before their suicide because they did not know what happened and did not get caring and attention
