It’s hard to imagine all the events that led up to ourselves coming into the world or at least it is hard to some people. When I think about all my ancestors that had to survive all the things I read about in textbooks it’s a miracle we are all here. Trying to learn about all the people in my family’s tree was interesting to know how my ancestors came about, what they did, and how long they lived. I learned mostly about my mother’s side of the family who have lived and flourished in andrews, texas where I am from. My grandma name is Yvonne Thornburg who worked at many places such as a cook, waitress, and a manager of a store. The 1970s was the time when women 's rights were in full swing so that women have the same rights as men in the workforce and in other areas which gave way to a new way everyone looked at women. She was married to Clyde Thornburg who was a welder and they had four children.
