“Mrs. Lampitoc: My Pediatrician Doctor” By Richiel Galacgac, Period 1, August 20, 2016 When I was 12 or 13 years old, I visited my pediatrician, Perlita Lampitoc, doctor’s office with my mother that’s across the green, white and a little red festival marketplace that smells like greens, seafood, rotting pork and the like inside. Once you enter the pediatric building, it doesn’t have overwhelming air conditioner, but enough to keep you from being hot and humid. There was no distinguishing smell, which is most likely covered by the air conditioner’s cool wind. By the entrance, you’re greeted by 2 chairs each on the left and right with a table with toys in the left corner. There are 3 more chairs along the table with another doctor’s office that has a sign-in paper that has a radio and a printer. It also has magazines and free cards for a discount on prescriptions. I slip off my shoes and step on the height scale first, leaning slightly forward against it, waiting for Marge to be done recording the measurements; then on the weight scale and waiting once more. I finally enter Mrs. Lampitoc’s office and I addressed my problems to my doctor of sitting on the toilet for what it seems like years that would range from 15 minutes to an hour, feeling the remnants in my bowels just waiting for them to come out that would burden pressure onto my ankles that would get sore from squatting. Prior to being informed, she listens attentively. My doctor took these issues earnestly and advised me for my constipation in an austere tone with dilated pupils and no silly gestures. She told me that it was abnormal, what the average person would defecate for how long and how daily you should defecate.
