Deepak Chopra was born in Poona India in 1947. He was the eldest son of Krishan Chopra, a prominent cardiologist. With his father being a doctor, Deepak Chopra was raised in the tradition of Western Medicine. His father considered the traditional ideas of Ayurveda to be pointless rituals and did not believe in raising his family in these ancient Hindu beliefs. Chopra wrote in his autobiography, “My father proudly practiced Western medicine and looked at his accomplishments as a personal triumph. He had every reason to think that modern India would be well off without the ignorant old ways. Ayurveda, being ‘unscientific’ to Western eyes, could join the other castoffs. It never occurred to me or my father that Ayurveda might be something great.” (Chopra 23) As a child Deepak’s father strongly pushed him towards pursuing a medical career. However, Deepak rejected his father’s urgings completely, wanting nothing to do with the field of medicine. He was more interested in soccer and cricket and saw himself becoming a journalist. In this paper, I will be explaining how Siddhartha had arrived at the Four Noble Truths. The first paragraph contains how Siddhartha’s life was full of suffering, pain, and sorrow. The second paragraph will be the cause of suffering is the desire for things that are really illusions in Siddhartha’s life. Following, in the third paragraph I will be explaining how the only way to cure suffering is to overcome desire. Finally, I will be explaining that the only way to overcome desire is to follow the Eightfold Path.
In Herman Hesse's Siddhartha, Unity is a reflecting theme of this novel and in life. Unity is first introduced by means of the river and by the mystical word "Om." Siddhartha's quest for knowledge began when he left his father and sought the teachings of the Samanas. By becoming a Samana Siddhartha had to give up all of his possessions and learn to survive with practically nothing. He quickly picked up all of the Samanas' tricks like meditating, abandonment of the Self, fasting, and holding of the breath. By abandoning the Self, Siddhartha left himself and took on many other forms and became many other things. At first, this excited Siddhartha and he craved more. He took on the shape and life of everything, but he would always return to himself. After he began to notice this endless cycle he realized how dissatisfied it really made him. He had learned all the noble tools the samanas had taught for attaining the innermost Being that is no longer Self, yet even after mastering all of the arts he never progressed further than his cycle of abandoning his Self and returning to it.
The writing style of the author is quite interesting to me. Atul Gawande’s honesty, a major aspect of his writing style, beautifully highlights the good and bad of any medical profession. For example, Gawande’s argument over the use of patients for resident training

Through out the novel Siddhartha had constantly taken risks that he believed would lead him to nirvana. He would take these risks even if it meant leaving his family, his best friend, and having to live as a poor man searching for himself. Siddhartha has many teachers during his journey. Although he had many teachers he believed that with or without them he would have learned what he needed to learn to obtain nirvana.
I was born in a small town of -----------of underdeveloped country of Bangladesh. I grew up speaking Bengali, wore traditional clothes, created intricate henna designs on women’s hands, and performed classical Bengali music. Since childhood, thought other than becoming a doctor never registered in my mind. My high grades in high school helped me to obtain admission in one of the most desirable place to learn Medicine, Mayemen Medical College.

Other preventive measures can be taken when heavy lifting is required, be sure to used legs when lifting heavy objects or while working out. Proper lifting techniques will also prevent other injuries. By maintaining a healthy weight you will also prevent undue pressure on lower pelvic floor muscles. Dr. Jonas Salk was born on October 28, 1914 in New York, NY to a family of Russian-Jewish immigrants (American Academy of Achievement). While Salk wasn’t athletic, he excelled at academics. Salk graduated from the Townsend Harris High School and entered the College of New York City to study law at the young age 16. Later, he changed his study from law to medicine. Then, in 1934, Jonas enrolled in the College of Medicine of New York University. In 1939, Salk became a doctor and graduated from New York University. Dr. Salk worked at Mount Sinai Hospital from 1940 to 1942 until he went to the University of Michigan (Salk Institute for Biological Studies).

Electronic gadgets always intrigued me to understand their functioning at a deeper level. This prompted me to perform experiments on dissection of household electronics right from configuring a Clapper to toggle the lights in my room to controlling electronic devices through different computer interfaces. Major decisions made right from my under-graduation to professional career have led me to this stage of life wherein I seek the opportunity to pursue a Masters in Computer Science. This realization first struck me when I began to gain interest in programming during high school while learning C++ and SQL as a part of my course. My interest in computers took me on the journey of understanding its basic fundamentals, wherein I was also recognized for my proficiency and awarded for scoring the highest marks in Computer Science.
