One of the courageous characters was Anne Frank. In 1942, when the Nazis were occupying Holland Anne and her family had no choice but to leave their home and go into hiding. They were accompanied by their close friends the Van Daans and Dr. Dussel. They struggled in the Secret Annex for two long years. The Secret Annex became their home for the last years of their life.
