Their curiosities were more strong than what they believe in. And by using powers greater than their understating they ended up dead like Hebert, the protagonist in the short story of “The Monkey’s Paw”, or ended up in gloom and fear like Goodman Brown, in the short story “Young Goodman Brown”. These two stories deal a lot with the idea of curiosity and temptation.
