A Civil War is basically a war between citizens of the same country opposing. The First Civil War our country ever faced took place between 1861 to 1865. The First Civil War was one of the most important event in the history of our country. This War was considered the bloodiest time in history. The Americas was and still is largely impacted because of that part in our background. Our leaders of the United States of America strive to make our country a better place for the citizens and a better place for other countries to serve with us. At the start of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln was chosen into office. The Civil War has definitely changed our leaders thoughts about national situations because since the Civil War damaged so much in our country it has also shown our leaders what our country is capable of doing to others and to ourselves. Also our leaders changed the way of thought about our national situations because if our citizens are capable of doing that in our own country fighting against our own neighbors just imagine what we could do to other countries. The Civil War has greatly impacted society today in this era and time. It has affected our social lives, especially because of slavery. We have freedom because of the Civil War. It has especially made us who we are today because of that. Just to name a few, the Civil War gave us money (currency), abolishment of slavery, citizenship for all born in the United States.
