HISTORY OF FELIS SILVESTRIS CATUS
The first thing to note would be the cat’s history. Cats are related to lions, tigers, cougars and more! Domesticated cats, or house cats, are part of the Felis genus. Southeast Asia’s felis chaus, the European Felis silvestris silvestris, Chinese mountain cat Felis Bieti, African native Felis silvestris lybica, and Arab’s sand cat Felis margarita are among the Felis class. Despite how many felines are in its class, the Felis domesticus is

They love your attention, and are extremely jealous critters. If they feel you are giving something else more attention than them, they will scratch, bite, claw, and pee their way to your lap. Cats need constant attention, though they are perfect for families who work and go to school since they don’t get as lonely. If you and your family have busy schedules, make sure that you look for a cat breed that is more independent. Though cats are a type of animal, every breed is different in the way it acts, looks, and feels. Search into different breeds to see which one is right for you. If you have your heart set on a cat but it is very social and you just don’t have time to give it all the attention it craves, just get another cat. Cats left on their own and without enough affection grow rowdy and will do anything for your love. Scratching, peeing, and meowing are all viable if they feel neglected. With two cats, they have someone to talk and play with. Just make sure the cats are compatible before you take them home. Ask whoever you are getting the cats from to put them together for at least a week before you pick them

A growing number of studies have attempted to support the theory that cats and dogs differ in their personality attributes. Several common factors have emerged across these studies, such as difference among social behaviours. Higher levels of dominance and hostility have been reported among domestic cats (as cited in Fonberg, 1985). Not surprisingly, domesticated dogs are higher in submissive behaviours (as cited in Marder, 1989). Woodward et al. also reflect upon previously held theories of companion animal attachment that suggest attachment is mediated by the needs of the owner and the characteristics of their pet.
Cats and dogs are different in the way they bond with their owners. While I have always been more of a dog person, I do like certain cats. My favorite cats are Himalayan and Siamese. I have always thought that dogs were more affectionate than cats until I found out I was wrong. According to the Study Cats Bond Differently than Dogs, cats show affection to their owners, but they do not get attached like dogs. Also,
Dogs and cats can vary when it comes to the energy level. Most dogs are very active and hyper, most want to play all the time. Cats on the other hand, can be very lazy, and want nothing to do with the owner. All they want the

But like an exception to every stereotype, my experience with a human –animal relationship is also an exception. When I was twelve, I received a pair of kittens as my birthday gift. I was never an animal lover so I wasn’t too excited to receive it. But as the days went by, spending time with them developed a soft corner for them. Unlike dogs, with cats it’s more of a give and take relationship. You have to spend time with them and show them you care for them to be able to reciprocate the same care and concern for you. The more time I spent with them, the more founder and inseparable I grew of them.

Dogs are extremely lovable and the only thing in life that they want is to be loved by their owners. With dogs, everything in life revolves around love and affection. The only thing that is on a cats mind is food and what they
Both dogs and cats are good for companionship, because they are both very sweet, loveable. However dogs have a much more need for attention, dogs constantly want to be played with, and sometime aggravate their owner until they get what they want. On the other hand, cats pretty much like to stay to themselves. Some cats may stay away during the day time and only come out at night. Dogs sleep pretty much at night while some cats are up all night.
We all are busy people who are out of the house most of the day. We need a companion to help us ease the stress from daily life. For example, if you are purr-catinating on essays or preparing for speeches late at night, you at least have a companion by your side. A great companion is the cat, you get to pet a fluffy thing and get free scratches. Why cats? Well, cats are purr-ty interesting creatures. According to Discovery News, in 1960s, the CIA tried to turn a cat into a spy, but un-fur-tunately, they failed when the cat was ran over by a cab. Another interesting fact according to Buzzfeed is female cats are typically right-pawed while male cats are typically left-pawed. There is also a cat island named Tashirojima that are terrorized by stray cats in Japan. The main problem is there are too many cats in the shelters that need a home, according to ASPCA, approximately 3.4 million cats enter the shelters every year. Well the solution to this is you can adopt a cat. There are a few things you need to do before adopting a cat.
When you’re choosing which pet to get, think about your situation at home and how much free time you have during the day. In today’s household, 36% of them have dogs and 30% of them have cats (U.S. Pet Ownership Statistics). This statistic shows that cats and dogs are the most popular pets and it can be tough to decide which one to get. People that aren’t home a lot shouldn’t get a dog because a dog needs to be played with everyday to keep it health and happy. A cat would be the better choice for someone that is busy a lot because cats wonder and do their own thing, but they will always come back to their home. If you have small kids at home, four or younger, consider getting a cat. Cats are a lot calmer and would be safer around young kids. A dog has a lot of energy and even though they are just trying to play, they could hurt a young kid many different ways. Another thing you need to think about is the size of the animal that you want. All cats are about the same size and there all lap animals. Dogs come in all different sizes; some are small like cats but others are very big. Even though there are small do...
Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two.
