Bullying is defined as the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate to those who are weaker. Nowadays students in school still experience being bullied or to bullying someone. This issue is very important because if we do not stop bullies. The victim suffers mild to severe psychological, social or physical trauma, they may feel insecure, lack trust and as though their life has fallen apart ,they will be afraid to speak out and stop go to school. Their parent and teachers don't understand what's happens ,just think they truancy. Give they pressure push them and may commit suicide. They both have organizations to help young people. For example, Lady Gaga has a Foundation call "Born This Way",that is the nonprofit organization . She uses this way to reach young people defend and confident in themselves and tolerant. Starvin' Marvin also has an organization to help the young people from getting bullied. It's called "Bullying Hurts"they go to different school to spread the concept of stopping bullies and use nonviolence way to fix the problem . In their organizations, they both work hard to stop bullies. According to the text entitled Stop bullying. Lady Gaga teach teenage about self-confident,anti-bullying efforts and tolerance. This evidence means bullying is never ok ,people should learn this at young age ,learn how to handle bullying, and victim should be more confident in themselves and tolerance. Starvin' Marvin, on another hand, he teaches young people make a right choice . He wants bullies to realize they can't make fun on that victim of bullied at violence way. Furthermore, both of them get funding for their organization to carry out various activities. Lady Gaga writes the song and uniquely performance gets funding. Likewise, Marvin gets funding from various sources such as high schools, government business, and his own performance. The purpose of writing this article is to highlight the adverse effects of bullying on vulnerable individuals. Hopefully, the light shed here using Phoebe Prince story will put a halt on this vice in our school system. Playing it safe by being well mannered can only get you so far when it comes to avoiding being victimized by bullies.The key to avoid bullying as such is not to learn how to be as invisible as possible, but to learn how to stand up for oneself and have a support network that one can fall upon. Walking down the school hall to the next class, the bully appears before his prey. He stands before his soon to be victims as if he is two feet taller and ten times stronger. His victims attempt to ignore him, but he stops them and puts his face in front of theirs to make sure his presence is known. He then abruptly decides to save his senseless punishment for another day as he passes by with a slight shoulder nudge. In today’s high schools, the majority of bullying incidents occur in this fashion. A bully finds the weakest kids and targets them. Freaks and Geeks, a television show, demonstrates these specific bullying instances and their effect on the character Bill Haverchuck. Growing up in Catholic schools and community some might say that I was sheltered more than most other children would be. I would not disagree with that at all. Although I’ve lived my life in a polo and skirt, that does not mean bullying doesn’t exist. In private school there is some bullying but not to the extent as in Poison Ivy, the YA novel by Amy Goldman Koss. Not only is it already hard to be a teenager, but having to deal with constant teasing and harassment is just something no one needs. There is a point in life where bullying can become so terrifying that students will rather stay at home than have to face their bully. Darnell “Dynasty” Young is a 17 year old gay teen who has gone through every possible way to stop his bullies from harassing him. His mother has tried everything but hasn’t been able to put a stop to it. Until one day, Young’s mother bought Darnell a stun gun. His mother told him to bring it to school and when the bullies began to torment him to take it out. He did just that, he did not actually shoot anyone he just waved it up in the air to intimidate his bullies. He not only got suspended but he also got arrested, yet the six boys teasing him and calling him names received no punishment whatsoever. (CNN) Young is one of the many kids that go through this type of abuse in a place where they should feel safe. This is an example of the school failing to do anything to prevent this kind of behavior, even after the parents try to intervene. This is also a great example of parents failing to implement high behavior standards by enforcing them to retaliate. Parents should be there to advice a peaceful way of resolving this in a non violent way not give them the weapon. By implementing prevention programs such as activities that help fight bullying can ultimately lead to the end of this horrific thing some kids face each day.

This accounts for 15% of all school absenteeism (Hunter, 2012). Dan Olweus (1993) from the National School Safety Center tells us that bullying includes three parts: (1) Unwanted, negative aggressive behavior, (2) the behavior is repeated over time and (3) there is an imbalance of power or strength. One in every seven school age students will be victimized by a bully or will commit the act of bullying. (Hunter, 2012). Statistics show that 10% of students who drop out of school do so because they have experienced repeated bullying at school (Hunter, 2012).

I personally thought both articles really summed up what bullying is and how you can prevent it very well. Dake did a good job getting more surveys sent out to teachers to help them in the classroom. That was a good idea because then the teacher can always have the ideas on hand and can refer back to them. Dake also mentioned how bullying really affects the learning of others. School is supposed to be a safe place and I agree with that factor. Dake had a lot of statistics that backed up his information and showed how more teachers need to step it up with creating a better relationship with their students. Born in 1952 and raised by his mother Tzofia Naharin, who is a choreographer, and father, who is a psychologist. This film takes place in Israel and in New York over the time of his dance career from 1974 and 2005. The film “Mr. Gaga” shows rehearsal footage, dance performances, as well as the personal life of Maharin. It reveals his creative mind and body, as well as major people in his dance career and love life. School victimization is an especially delicate matter that has only really been in the public eye for the past half century, as more and more researchers and psychologists pointed out its short- and long-term negative effects on targeted individuals. It has since been widely investigated and numerous programs have been developed in an effort to address and prevent the many forms of bullying that exist today. The negative effects of such an abusive behaviour are various and can greatly differ from individual to individual. However, there are three main consequences that can be associated with school bullying, which are: school avoidance, depression/anxiety and even suicidal attempts.

Bullying of students in school is an abuse that affects and produces a number of negative experiences on the victim. It is proven that those students who bully do so merely because they see themselves superior than those being bullied. Bullying can be anything from calling someone else names, beating them up just for the fun of it, to texting or messaging them on the internet or any mobile device. Any person can be the victim of bullying, not just children. Bullying causes many issues, physically, emotionally, and mentally, not only for the victim, but for their entire families as well.
