At the cellular level, the human body is the most complex, largest & efficiently organised system that has no comparison. Only through this course will I gain invaluable experiences and opportunities, such as participation in the use of advanced Imaging technologies (an example is MRI and Vivo ultrasound system) to investigate what it is that separates living things and objects, the organisation of cells & their structure.
The study of Biomedical Sciences provides the means to explore my curiosity & to find significance to the world we live in. I was first drawn into the study of biology when I witnessed the dissection of an elephant’s corpse & this sparked my curiosity to understand what it is that makes humans so different to other species. Reading books such as ‘human’ by Robert Winston, and ‘Inside the Body’ by Susan Greenfield gave me a liking towards the use of technology in examining the problems with a human’s body. It is my personal goal to develop a vaccine that does not include the use of a sharp needle, as many people refuse to have a needle penetrate their skin. The recent production of needle-less vaccines called

This is evident as I have analysed several written and visual sources plus case studies to find reliability and evidence that support a range of arguments, which I believe will be useful for studying Biomedical Science.
The quality of life on earth is highly dependent on Biomedical Sciences, and I believe that I am fit to carry out such a responsible role. Involving myself in preclinical research, specifically in pathology, immunology and cancer biology, will expand my knowledge of the human body in an advanced manner, in terms of molecular levels. For example, I am drawn to research in how viruses attack a cell internally, such as the Spanish flu pandemic, which killed over 50 million people in
The human body is, in its simplest observation, an extensively vast web of cells. The human body is one of the most complex productions in the world. Looking at just one part of the body such as the eye makes it apparent the complexity of the body’s makeup. The body is comprised of cells that come together to make tissues. These tissues fit together to make organs. The organs coexist to form organ systems. These organ system make up the entire organism that is man.
Background Information I have always been both enthusiastic and passionately interested in science, particularly research in biomedicine. I find science to be rather admirable, in how it can fascinate one’s curiosities and provide reasoning behind them; and ultimately help mankind. Having completed a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences, accredited by the IBMS, I wish to pursue a career in biomedical science. One thing which I particularly enjoy about the practical side of science is the methodical and organised nature involved.
Vaccines are said to work by triggering the body’s natural immunity. By injecting weak or dead infectious agents through the skin the body will recognize the invading pathogens and create the necessary immune defense. While this idea is over two hundred years old, it’s not nearly as effective as we are lead to believe. Vaccines boost our defenses only temporarily. Research has shown that the historical decline in infectious diseases were not the result of inocu...
I believe I have great analytical skills and attention to every detail due to the sensitivity of the experiments we had to undertake in a laboratory. Looking after one’s health is very important as it helps us to stay away from diseases and live a happy life, which is why I personally worship my health. Therefore, I find it rather interesting to study about the diseases and it’s adverse effects on one’s health. In future, after completing my University, I have a strong desire to help the poor and illiterate people who don’t have access to the healthcare facilities. Since high school, science has always been a subject of interest to me.
The personal statement is a piece of your application to medical school however it is more. The personal statement is not only an item submitted to the medical school. Medical schools oblige the written work of a personal statement as an activity in self-reflection that all understudies must attempt before starting medical school. Medical personal statement writing service is here to survey your statement and guarantee that you will have the best conceivable possibility of getting acknowledged. a personal statement writing service is additionally a decent partner when composing or altering a statement.
Paying attention to detail has always been something that formed a large part of my life, no matter what I was doing. I always find the small details to be most fascinating as they build up to make the larger picture, whether that being a simple jigsaw or the big puzzle of the human body. However, there has always been one particular subject that I was intrigued by, the infinitely expanding details of the human body. To fully fuel my interest in the intricacies of how life works, I would need to first explore and dive into the world of how even the smallest details and largest puzzles work, which is precisely what studying Biomedical Science would allow me to achieve. Biology, being my favourite subject, exposed me to the ever unfolding secrets of the human body.
Pathology is more than a science, its an art too. In my first year of medical school at Sudan’s University of Khartoum, my love of photography led me daily to capture the sunset over the White and Blue Niles. In my second year, another form of art astonished me when I examined my first slide under a microscope. The combinations of colors, cells, and tissue architecture in an H&E tissue section from the duodenum were stunning. Throughout my studies, my fascination grew and led me to pursue pathology.
Hence, the desire to gain more in-depth understanding about human body structures and its functions has fuelled
Growing up I’ve always been fascinated with animals from the neighbor’s cat to the huge elephants at the zoo. Although there were other activities I was passionate about such as singing and performing, at the time I felt learning and caring about animals would be most fulfilling. As I progressed in my schooling I realized how much I enjoyed and naturally excelled in science. I was successful in completing a 4-year comprehensive and rigorous curriculum of veterinary and biomedical sciences undergraduate program at the Penn State University. This environment provided me with access to all aspects of science equipment, lab animals, and networking resources.
t helps to you challenge ideas and show how you worked things out through logic and step-by-step reasoning Studying Biology and Chemistry at A-level has helped I have found a particular interest in the human body especially its defence mechanisms against disease and I believe studying Biomedical Science would allow me to pursue a career in research. My fascination for Biology and the sciences are clearly shown by my A-level choices, where an understanding of self-motivation and a desire to succeed is highlighted. Biology and Chemistry have helped provide an insight to the analytical aspect of learning as well as to consolidate a deeper knowledge of the subject, while both Maths and Computing have led to the development of my problem solving skills and the ability to focus on a single point of error in order to fix a problem.
Biomedical Science is the broadest and most powerful area of medical related modern sciences, from identifying the cure of infectious diseases that could wipe out humanity to choosing the colour of the eyes of a newborn baby. It has the power to determine crucial treatments for patients, which involves a high scientific responsibility and dedication. It requires technical ability with an open mind for problem solving, as well as a depth of knowledge of many biological and chemical principles. My first approach to biomedical science was at the age of 12 when I became really interested in human biology; the basic functions I learnt in school encouraged me to research and find out more.
What are the Purposes of a medicine Personal Statement Writing? Medicine personal statement writing is a vital piece of your application, and it can regularly be the most troublesome part. About all candidates to medicinal school have a spectacularly high evaluation, which makes it hard for schools to make a distinction among the applicants? Good personal statement writing can make you emerge from the group, and begins to persuade the admission instructor to pick you.
Clinical Laboratory Science is a major that I instantly fell in love with when I heard of it for the first time. Hearing about the difficult (but well worth it) curriculum and how I would be able to get a job right out of college is something that instantly appealed to me. After school, knowing that I had many choices of what I could get certified in, and also many choices of where I could work, also appealed to me. I knew that I could get a job right out of a Bachelor’s degree when I was still in high school, and I found out between year 1 and year 2 just what variety of job options I have with this degree. Before I even think about going out into the workforce, I will need to finish my undergraduate schooling.
From primary school, I was always amazed by the fact that the human body, composed of millions of cells, develops from a single fertilized mother cell. This idea triggered my interest for the science of human body. But the main reason I joined medical school was witnessing the actions of the excellent medical unit that saved my sister’s life, after her chocking on peanut. At the university, my interest in anatomy was amplified when I was studying anatomy in the second year. Later, this interest increased during various rotations in surgery and internal medicine.
My desire of studying biomedical sciences stems from my sciences interest, as it demonstrates a world not visible to the naked eye, plays a big role in everyday life. science specifically biology and chemistry are stimulating and challenging subjects , over the years of studying them ,my interest has increased because learning things about how our bodies function and how it relates to god’s creation is particularly interesting for me. I also find it very important because I’m Muslim. The biomedical science degree will open for me the door to learn more about the vast field of biology and its branches to a greater depth. I developed my knowledge in the science field by taking support classes in the lab at school; I was fascinated by how the body can function in different circumstances and the complexity of DNA, different organisms, chemical reactions, and also very importantly the mathematical aspect which gives me the chance to develop and use my logic and it inform me to new ways of looking at given problems.
