Biography of Adolf Hitler

On April 20, 1889 in Austrian border town of Braunau, Adolf Hitler was

born. He was born to his parents Alois Schickelgruber and Klara

Hitler. There have been many rumours that his father, Alois was

ironically half Jewish. His father was very strict but comfortable and

Adolfs mother showered him we affection. Three of his siblings had

died at an early age but Adolf survived.

Hitler's family moved several times during his childhood. They lived

across from a Benedictine monastery for sixth months. The monastery

coat of arms featured a swastika that would later become the symbol of

his Nazi party. As a boy Adolfs dream was to enter priesthood.

Hitler's talents as an artist soon emerged and he did well enough to

be accepted into the Technical/Scientific Realschule. Hitler enrolled

in the Realschule but did not do very well there.

In 1903 his father died after suffering from a lung haemorrhage,

Hitler broke down in tears when he saw his fathers body but it was now

an opportunity for Hitler. As now his fathers harsh words couldn't

stop becoming an artist and he was also the head of the household

which was very respectable at that time.

Three years later Hitler went off to Vienna but was rejected from the

prestigious art school. This was at the same time as his mother death

where Hitler was distraught and the doctor described as the most

emotional reaction he had ever seen.

Hitler spent the next few years in Vienna living on orphan's pension

and some of his father's legacy. By 1909 he was virtually penniless

and was living in homeless shelters and sleeping in bars. Ironically

at this time, Hitler's...

... The nazi party vote went up dramatically after the Wall Street crash

in 1929. It went up to 18% in 1930 and in 1932 the nazi party gained

30% of the vote. This forced a political runoff and a deal was made

with Hitler to make him chancellor in exchange for his political

support. He was appointed as chancellor in 1933.

During this time Hitler had other personal problems. Hitler rented out

a cottage in the summer of 1928 it was his first real home. Staying

with him was his niece Geli who he fell in love with and she was

fascinated by an older man like Hitler who was now becoming famous.

Hitler became very possessive of Geli and she couldn't do anything

without his permission. By 1931 Geli had had enough of Hitler's

possessiveness and shot herself in the heart. Hitler was devastated

and was never the same person again.
