Perhaps, one of the greatest bonuses is the opportunity to buy some Belly Flops, which are irregularly shaped Jelly Belly jelly beans. They might be too small or too big. There might be several beans stuck together. The beans might otherwise look a little deformed. While they are misshapen, Belly Flops taste the same as regular Jelly Belly jelly beans. While you are at the Jelly Belly Factory, you may also want to buy a bag or two of your favorite flavored regular Jelly Belly jelly beans.

The Avenue of the Giants is a 31-mile stretch of huge redwood trees along old Highway 101. You will see some of the largest redwood trees in the world. Be sure to pull off the road and really admire the size of these trees. Because it is such a tourist location, there are many fun stops along the Avenue of the Giants. For most Americans, traveling to and from home is relatively simple. Travel in most of the United States is on paved roadways, and most roadways draw very little attention from conservationist groups. This, however, is not the case for residents in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
Redwoods were named for the color of their bark and heartwood. These trees have a high resistance to fungus and diseases due to the high tanin content in the wood. The dense, fibrous bark has an even higher content, and acts as an insulator from periodic fires which have plagued the countryside for centuries. Though these trees are immense, they have delicate foliage. The needles are narrow and sharp-pointed, and combine to form feathery sprays. The cones are an inch long and typically contain fourteen to twenty-four seeds. The older trees offspring sprout form their parents' roots in order to take advantage of the established root system.
Film # 2 is called The Margins of the Land. The film shows the highest tides in the world, which is the "Bay of Fundy" (Eastern Canada), and the Mangroves, trees which grow in the tropics between land and sea. Mangroves forests have some unique animals, for example, the proboscis monkey, which eats only mangrove leaves. In addition, there are 40 different species of mangrove trees. They have very shallow roots which grow near the surface.
In historical terms the city of Oakland was named after the many Oak trees that inhabited the land when the city was established. Oakland was first founded in 1852 and is located on the East side of the Bay Area in Northern California.(Oakland History) Native Americans had previously lived in the area for over 5 thousand years before many arrived for the Gold Rush, and put down their roots. The famous author Jack London also spent many of his earlier years in Oakland, and his works have said to have been influenced by the city. My personal perception of Oakland is that it has always been the forgotten city in the Bay Area. Almost no one would notice that famous actors Clint Eastwood, and Tom Hanks spent many of their childhood days in the city. Basketball future hall of famers Gary Payton and Jason Kidd also spent their childhood days there. Baseball hall of famers Reggie Jackson and Ricky Henderson still own homes in the city.

Conversely the expense of living in California is ridiculous compared to many states, but I believe that's a factor to look in while residing in any urban metropolis. Therefore, if you wish to live in California and don't have a spectacular job then in my opinion you should live in the outer metro areas. Personally, from experience it can be cheaper and there's less traffic to deal with. Briefly put, California may have its niches, but nonetheless it’s an amazing state that provides a cozy Mediterranean climate, a rich complexity of social butterflies, a conglomerate of healthy appetizers from different ethnicities, and an eccentric indie scene that delivers entertainment.

The eastern span was an incredible engineering feat as well. The cantilever bridge from Yerba Buena Island to Oakland was the longest bridge of its kind at the time. Yerba Buena Tunnel connected the western half of the bridge to the eastern half and measured 76 feet wide, 56 feet high, and 1,700 feet long. The spoils from constructing this tunnel were used in part to make Treasure Island. The foundations used in the east section differed from those in the west section because the bottom of the bay contained clay and was too deep to reveal bedrock. The steel superstructure of the cantilever bridge was the largest order for steel ever placed when the bridge was constructed. They built the bridge in two pieces, intending to join them in the middle. However, extreme temperatures from sunlight caused the side of the bridge facing the sun to expand while the opposite side contracted. When they were ready to join the two pieces, they did not initially fit.
By the turn of the century, the agricultural, logging, lime processing, and commercial fishing industries all prospered in the area. Santa Cruz also became a prominent resort community, due to its scenic beauty and mild climate, and today it is well-known for water-sports such as surfing, paddling, sailing, diving and swimming. It is reputedly the site of the first surfing in California, when, in 1885, three Hawaiian princes -
The Jelly Belly operation is exactly what it represents, “A Perfected Process”. The company not only appears that it has been producing at an optimal performance rate, it rationally is. Sacred groves are grove of trees or several acres of forests that set up and controlled by local communities. They have special religious importance to various cultures throughout the world, especially to Celtic, Baltic, Germanic, ancient Greek, Near Eastern, Roman, Slavic, Indian, and Japanese cultures. Today, sacred groves are mostly presented in United States of America, India, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Ghana. There are three types of sacred groves: temple groves, groves near burial or cremation grounds, and traditional sacred groves that located at places where village deities reside and protect the community; local people believe that any kind of disturbance or upsetting local deities will offend them and cause diseases, natural calamities or failure of crops.
