Introduction Beauty means something different to different kinds of people and cultures. The meaning of beauty is influenced by our environmental surrounding, society, media, peers, culture and experiences. When people think about beauty they think about the physical visual appearance. Actually is “beauty in the eyes of the beholder” (Hungerford, 1878), but perhaps it is more accurate to say that beauty is also in the geography, as cultural ideals of beauty vary drastically by region. An “ideal beauty” is an entity which is admired or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture for perfection. There is evidence that a preference for beautiful faces emerges early in child development, and that the standards of attractiveness are similar across different genders and cultures. A study published in 2008 suggests that symmetry is also important because it suggests the absence of genetic or acquired defects. Although style and fashion vary widely, cross-cultural research has found a variety of commonalities in people's perception of beauty. Across the globe, few people have difficulty recognizing someone who is considered beautiful. Beauty is often sought after, revered, and sometimes interpreted as a personal virtue. Standards of beauty are usually social marker determining cultural status, social acceptance and suitability as a mate. However, the actual question is what beauty means for different groups of culture. There are four different countries in comparison: Russia, Indonesia, Kenya and Brazil. 1. Russia Russia is populated with stunning brides and blonde tennis players. But what exactly is the famous Russian beauty? A thin woman, or one who has lost some weight, will receive comments from other women in her life about how she looked better when she was ‘strong’ and they’ll probably ask if she’s been feeling alright lately. But another part means that the ideal of beauty of a Brazilian women included hips, a smaller chest and a rounder backside, they are emerging as a dynamic new force in beauty. Beauty is so important in Brazil: beauty, sex and plastic surgery! And from an outside perspective, the country is seen as a symbol of tropical sensuality in the foreign imagination. Why is this so? What are their backgrounds? Because they are a mix of many different races. Long time ago they mixed and they have Italian, French, German, Polish, African and many more genes. Inter marriage is part of their culture.
