American Sniper is an action movie based on one of the greatest snipers in history and what he experienced through his days as a Navy Seal. It was directed by Clint Eastwood, he also was one of the producers. The movie was released on December 25, 2014. American Sniper was written by Jason Hall. The protagonist of the movie is Chris Kyle who is played by Bradley Cooper. Chris Kyle lives in Texas and really would like to be a cowboy. But he changes his mind and decides to go to the SEALS to become a sniper. The movie takes place in Texas and in Iraq. First, American Sniper is based on a true story. The movie took place the year of 9/11 and the attack of terrorists on the world trade center. Chris Kyle was one of the best snipers in history. He recorded 255 kills in four tours in the Iraq War. He had a girlfriend in the beginning of the movie but he found her in bed with a stranger. He then found a new girlfriend while he was in training with the Seals. He started a family with her and had two kids. He got married and had one son and one daughter. He was not around for much of the kid’s life because he was at war for so long. The story demonstrated the tough decision the snipers had to make in the war. The snipers had to go through a lot of hard training; it took a lot of dedication and motivation. Being a sniper is a very tough position they had many responsibilities. They had to protect their teammates over night while they traveled to their destination. Snipers had to stay put overnight without being able to leave their location to make sure their teammates do not get ambushed, sniped from the terrorist, or walk into a trap.
