I determined that they want less fluff and straight forward attributes about myself. When writing a resume it is important to include relevant job experience. Also, to incorporate all skills that would make you look enticing for an employer. During this process I contacted former employers, and intern coordinators to ask if they would be willing to let me use them as references. I wanted to make sure that I still keep in touch with previous employers because I want to make sure they put in a good word if a future employer were to contact them. I have learned through this experience that it is important to keep bonds strong, and make sure to keep a resume clean and organized. Works Cited O*NET OnLine. I began my college career unsure of the path ahead of me. I knew I had a passion for medicine, however, I did not know which direction I would take. With the expansive amount of options offered within the fields of science and medicine, it was difficult to narrow down exactly what direction I wanted to take. I gained some clarity the summer of my sophomore year when I stayed at a close friend’s home, whose father, a practicing Medical Physician, became somewhat of a mentor to me. The passionate way in which he discussed the practice of medicine led me to develop an interest in pursuing a career as a physician. He explained that a career in the medical field was about responsibility, the responsibility to work with all members of the healthcare team for the well-being of the patient as well as their family
Have you ever been adjusted by a chiropractor? Have you ever been in a chiropractic office? They are always extremely busy and have very wide open space! Chiropractors also like to keep their offices clean and busy with patients so they can get more business. During the day the chiropractors office is very busy. The chiropractors are always nice and respectful to their patients. Do you know anybody that works at a chiropractic office, or even is a chiropractor? Because many chiropractors have their own family, they usually give them free or discounted adjustments. This research paper will talk about the salary, schooling requirements, and the job outlook of the chiropractor. It will also explain what chiropractors do in their job. I hope that I will become a chiropractor someday after all my college years. Hopefully Alex will start a business and invite me and ask me to work for him! He has already talked about starting a business in the tropical islands somewhere. Chiropractors can make a lot of money, they just need to know how to adjust their patients the correct way.
Physical therapy and kinesiology work in a close relationship to each other. Essentially one may think they are one in the same, however there are small differences between the two that provide different results when applied singularly. As a combined effort physical therapy and kinesiology work to heal the muscles and joints of the body, recreating movements perfectly as they were before injury or in some cases as closely as one can get to a perfect function. First one must understand where the lone is drawn between the two fields and how they balance each other to create desirable results in a patient.
In January of 2012, I was playing in the first volleyball tournament of the club season. In the second game of the day, I dove to get a ball and landed wrong on my right wrist. My wrist was constantly popping and hurting when I needed to lift something. In May of 2012, my mother took me to the orthopedic doctor at Athens Orthopedic Clinic. I underwent physical therapy, took pain medicine, and played no volleyball for a month. When the month was up and there was still no improvement, I went to get a MRI. The radiologist said that there was nothing wrong, but my orthopedic referred me to an orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion. It only took a minute for my orthopedic surgeon to see what the problem was: a tear in my TFCC (a cartilage structure located on the small finger side of the wrist that, cushions and supports the small carpal bones in the wrist (Midwest). On August 8, 2013, I had surgery on my wrist. Ever since I’ve had surgery I’ve wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon. Although becoming an orthopedic surgeon takes years of education, hours of training, and hours of on-call work, orthopedic surgery’s advantages outnumber the disadvantages.
I was offered a kinesiology class as an elective. Kinesiology being an integral part of physical therapy. I decided to take it because I was on the football team and I was required to keep myself in top physical shape. From what I understood about kinesiology, I thought it would be helpful to know the inner mechanics of working out and staying physically fit. During my time in that class I learned about the musculoskeletal system, nutrition, anatomy, and just about everything that has to do with kinesiology. At the time, I didn’t really consider a career in kinesiology, I had a stronger interest in science, but my interest in kinesiology was still prevalent. Had I followed this interest, my choice would have been way easier to make and I would already have a plan of what I want to do.

I always knew what my career goals were when I went into high school. Ever since I was little I wanted to become a professional boxer and also a police officer. Even though I didn’t need to go through a full four years of college for my career goals, I wanted to get a business degree just in case I got hurt on the job and for when I retired from those job. The reason why I wanted these career goals was because I wouldn’t find my job entertaining sitting at a desk for the rest of my life. Since I find an interest in sports, I’ve decided to take the career path toward an industry that has something to do with sports and an industry that I always use for athletics. My career goal for joining
Exercise Science is a field of work that is valued by many. There are different paths for different kind of people whether they are interested in personal training, physical therapy, or even some kind of sports coach. The route I would like to take would be Exercise Science for Athletic Training. I want to be an Athletic Trainer because growing up, I loved playing and watching sports. I played baseball for about 2 years, ran track for 3, and played basketball my entire life. After my high school career, I knew that I could not stay involved in sports because all of the injuries I have experienced so I decided I wanted a job that is behind the scenes but still rooted in athletics.

My future views may change which physical therapy field I wish to pursue, but right now I look forward to learning as much as I can about physical therapy and helping others.
Agreeing with the fact that Kinesiology is a “invisible” field. I was not aware of this field until I came to UNI and was looking at different majors. I looked into this major and found it interesting as well as unique. What got me interested in this major was the very fact that Kinesiology has no common name or identity. Upon graduation I have doors open to make other fields. Not having a proper or universal recognition can be beneficial, in a way where we can attach and fit into different departments. Being invisible gives us the opportunity to collaborate with other departments and opens endless doors towards to multiple occupations and work of study.

Throughout my life, I have worked towards one goal which is to become a doctor. Medicine offers the opportunity for me to integrate different scopes of science while trying to improve human life. Medicine has intrigued me throughout all my life because it??s a never ending mystery and every answer has questions, and vice versa. Upon entering my career, I had assumed that professional and financial success would surely bring personal fulfillment. This realization triggered a process of self-searching that led me to medicine. The commitment to provide others with healthcare is a serious decision for anyone. As I examined my interests and goals, however, I underwent a process of personal growth that has propelled me towards a career as a physician. A career in medicine will allow me to integrate thoroughly my passion for science into a public-service framework. Since childhood, I have loved acquiring scientific knowledge, particularly involving biological processes. During my undergraduate studies, I displayed my ability to juggle competing demands while still maintaining my academic focus; I have succeeded at school while volunteering part time, spending time with family and friends, and working part-time. To better serve my expected patient population, I worked over my English and Korean language skills. I have come to discover that a job and even a good income, without another significant purpose, will not bring satisfaction. I planed to utilize my assets, namely my problem- solving affinity, strong work ethic, and interpersonal commitment, to craft a stimulating, personally rewarding career in medicine. I have taken stock of myself, considering my skills, experiences, and goals. I have looked to family and friends, some of whom are doctors, for advice. Because of this self-examination, I have decided to pursue a career in health care. The process has been difficult at times but always illuminating. Throughout it all, I have never lost confidence - the confidence that I will actively absorb all available medical knowledge, forge friendships with fellow students, and emerge from my training as a skilful and caring physician.
