Community Service On the summer of 2017 I would like to be part of a missionary team of nurses and doctors from my church, who travels to various countries in South America helping those in need of medical attention. By going to this trip I want to be exposed to the needs these people have, and perhaps recruit other nurses to accompany me in future trips. • Certifications On December, 2016, I plan to obtain my CCRN certification. CCRN certification helps to enhance critical thinking, and maintain up to date knowledge base of acute and critical care nursing (American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, 2015). • Political involvement On November, 2016, and November, 2020 I plan to continue voting for the US presidential elections. This is important to me because it would mean that I am a step closes to be an expert nurse, based on the Benner’s stages of clinical competence. On July 2020, I plan to start working a new career as a Nurse Anesthetist, this is very important to me because it has always been my goal to practice anesthesia, as it allows me to work in a higher level of nursing, and ensuring the patient pain are manage during certain medical procedures. Strengths and Area where improvement is sought In the journey to become a professional my strengths have been continuous motivation and dedication to advance my education. I have the constant desire to continue improving my critical thinking skills, and plan to continue my education until I obtain a Master’s degree in Nursing Anesthesia. My family contributes to my strengths, as they are always motivating me mentally and financially thru the journey of education. Due to working for over 6 years in the hospital, my strength comes from extensively developed healthcare skills, knowledge, training and experience, with the ability to handle and intervene in emergent situations, with essential skillsets to perform under pressure. I look forward to better manage school induced stress, and continue improving time management
