If a zombie apocalypse were to happen, it will be terrifying for everyone in the world. No human will be able to figure out what to do by themselves or survive either by themselves. If more people work together, unit, and think of plans of what to do, they might be able to survive a zombie apocalypse. My team and I have come up with 3 factions that will help us survive the zombie apocalypse, not survive for sure but have a probability of surviving. We have plans to survive a zombie apocalypse which is an Action Plan, Work Schedule, Sound Device that lures the zombies away, Sound Device that repels the zombies away, and Sound Device that hides us from the zombies. With all of those plans we need to come up with an idea of how we can use them together and see if we can survive by doing all those task works.

This is the first equation for my faction. The probability of us surviving is 62.25 percent which is really good and I will be able to survive. The action plan is going to help us in deciding how we’re going to survive, the steps and plans we need to do in order to find the needs we need. The sound device we will use is Triston 's sound device which is a tank with lots of horns that are extremely loud that can harm the zombies ears really bad which would force them to walk away from our headquarters. A Work schedule is going to help a lot during the zombie apocalypse because everyone will have a task to find stuff we need like water, food, shelter, and guns. A zombie apocalypse will be hard to survive by yourself, but working with other people will be much better and easier. After doing the 3 factions we figured out that the best faction of us surviving will be faction number that uses all the plans in order to survive. The plan that faction number 2 uses are Action Plan, Work Schedule, Sound Device that lures the zombies away, Sound Device that repels the zombies away, and Sound Device that hides us from the zombies. By using all those plans and picking faction number 2 we have a probability of surviving by a percentage of 67.65 percent. This result will give us the ability to stay alive and survive the zombie apocalypse. No book has captivated the zombie apocalypse better than World War Z. Max Brooks creatively presents “a worldwide zombie pandemic from outbreak to aftermath” (Boyd, Tristan). His book encompasses many social and political themes in the world today. The book reveals true fear and shows the strength of the human race.

Max Brooks is a famous author who wrote two very popular zombie books, Zombie survival guide and World War Z, which one was turned into a motion picture due to its large popularity. Colson Whitehead who wrote Zone one is a distinguished writer and has received numerous awards, one of which was New York Times best selling book of the year, given to him in 2001. These two authors give more weight towards Boschs argument as those who are zombie fans know who these writers are and read at least one of their books. Her appeal to multiple types of workers give her a wider reading base in which there are both positives and negatives to each argument given, having a good balance between the two classes. She refers to the white-collar workers as being zombie food, their skills are not needed in the zombie apocalypse.
Though fictional, this novel illustrates the fear surrounding disease, viruses, and contamination and how if uncontrollable, could lead to a global spread that could jeopardize the human race. Traveling internationally, World War Z represents a zombie epidemic that brings forth infection, which can be considered an unconscious actor during this time of confusion and destruction. Scientifically, fear is defined as a natural response found in almost all organisms that revolve around the emotions and feelings induced by perceived threats and danger. Max Brooks illustrates the societal interaction with fear, “Fear of aging, fear of loneliness, fear of poverty, fear of failure. Fear is the most basic emotion we have. Fear is primal. Fear sells. That was my mantra. ‘Fear sells.’” (Brooks 55). The fear of a zombie virus spreading in fact just produces more fear into the mind of the individual. Through research and scientific advancements, fears and anxieties have been proven to put an individual more at risk of developing health issues. How ironic, right? Our fears and anxieties surrounding diseases and the spread of them cause our society to be more susceptible to obtain and contract more health related problems. Do you ever wonder what you would do if you were being chased by a zombie? Last October on the weekend before Halloween, I got to find out the answer to that very important question. My friends Ashley, Anna, Vikram, and I decided to go to the Great America Fright Fest. It’s a very unique event where the whole park is decorated for halloween and filled with lots of scary attractions for the entire month. It had been a sweltering day for late October filled with lots of cotton candy and rollercoasters, and as the sun sank lower into the sky the real fun began.
What would people do during a zombie apocalypse? What about a bird apocalypse. This is what happened in the short story, “The Birds”, by Daphne du Maurier. On farm in London one day the birds start to rebel against the humans and start attacking. In “The Birds”, Nat Hocken had better survival skills compared to Mr. Trigg because in the end of the story, Mr. Trigg’s family doesn’t survive, but Nat’s does.
The zombie race is very different. It doesn't not have many abilities and is not advanced like humans. Their behavior patterns are different. They cannot stand cold or winter weather. Their behavior is very different and difficult to calculate. They usually stand around lingering and waiting to attack when they hear something. They follow noises.Some abilities that they do have is that they have excellent hearing and can walk but aren't blind.The also can smell human blood. Zombies are generally weak but don’t underestimate what they can do to a human.
“Zombie killings are similar to reading and deleting 400 work e-mails on a Monday morning or filling out paperwork that only generates more paperwork, or following Twitter gossip out of obligation, or performing tedious tasks in which the only true risk is being consumed by avalanche” (41). These are all similar to zombie killings because zombies will never go away unless you turn to really harsh tactics like aiming for one’s brain with a shot gun and repeating this for every zombie you come in contact with. In order to clear those 400 emails after reading them you must repeat the steps for each and every one, which is time consuming and can be very frustrating. Completing paperwork is very tedious, and can sometimes become overwhelming you may begin to feel as if it will never end which is common well it can feel similar to that when it comes to zombie killings as well because there will be one zombie followed by another one and many more to come. “Battling zombies is like battling anything….. Or everything” (42). Never assume the war is over because it is not, there will be one or more zombies hiding out, the war is never over. “The zombies you kill today will merely be replaced by the zombies of tomorrow” (44). World War Z is set in an apocalyptical time, when a disease causes people to turn, essentially, into zombies. The story starts out as the main character, Gerry Lane and his family are stuck in gridlocked traffic in Philadelphia. The zombies start to attack people while they are in the traffic. As they try to escape the chaos, they have their first encounter with a “zombie.” This zombie bit a guy in his car, and Gerry noticed that it took 12 seconds, for the man who was bit too, to also turn into a zombie. He then tries to attack others. Luckily, Gerry and his family escaped out of the city and into the countryside, where Gerry calls his friend in the UN, who he use to work with.
Mass amounts of people will die, families will be separated, and peaceful ways of life will be long gone. Guard your loved ones, board up your windows and keep your gun under your pillow because you’re gonna need it. I have taught the facts, the opinions, and the theories on the possibility of a zombie apocalypse. I have explained with facts and statistics the ramifications of it if it was to happen, the way and speed at which it can spread, and the cruelty that will follow. You can protect yourself and the ones closest to you, but first you have to believe it.

In recent years, there have been a plethora of film releases that pertain to the central topic of zombies. Typically “zombies thrive in popular culture during times of recession, epidemic and general unhappiness” (Drezner). Zombie films began around the 1920’s, and continue to fill modern day theatres. These films, although dramatized for entertainment, are something that truly could, and have, occurred.
