Today technology is very much imbedded in our everyday lives; Zoe’s use of technology is no exception. Zoe loves to do her readings and homework on her iPhone. She has downloaded all the apps needed to correspond with her schoolwork Gmail account. She uses apps like Google docs, Google drive, spell checker and so much more. Her iPhone is consisting of many different technological objects stored in one whole device. She has a lot of music and pictures on her phone besides her schoolwork. Sometimes I wonder and ask her to back up and store her work just in case her iPhone gets lost or starts to have issues. I notice she is not the only one that uses her phone to store schoolwork. Many of her peers use their phones and the teacher encourages them to use their phones because they are always on it anyway.
Looking back through their course of my time at the Millennium Brooklyn School I have had a chance to observe Zoe in many different settings. Zoe is a very outgoing and smart girl but she is also a young girl who struggles with some of her science and humanities subjects and also has t...
