The world with integrity and ethics. When I use the word "world," I am referring to not only the United States but the whole planet. I am referring to all the people on earth as one. I am doing this because we are all human and if we all work as a "world," we can achieve anything we want. Integrity is doing the right thing in a reliable and trustworthy way. It is a personality trait that we as humans admire in one another. It is a moral compass that doesn 't waver in inaccurate directions. Ethics (morals) means an idea of what is right and a wrong. It is what drives every action or decision we make. For example, if a teacher gives out a test it is against your ethics to cheat because it is wrong.

Although, not all wise people are old. It is something we as humans gain through our lifespan of varying experiences. Sometimes it comes from making the wrong choices and having to live with it. An example of this could be for an upcoming college student applying for Scholarships. If this student happens to get a big scholarship they have to either have the wisdom to put that money away and save it for a bachelor’s degree or waste the money on a new truck. So then again, it is the choice of right and wrong and whether you know the differences between the two due to past experiences. We always hear about old people being wise because they have already done everything we have. They know what happens when you don 't save that scholarship money and spend it on a new truck, but there are also the ones that don 't because we aren 't all as wise as the next
Friendliness not only means being sincere to people around you, but also being comfortable with yourself. I know that may be confusing, but let me explain. As you walk through the store and pass by people do you smile or just look away? I used to just look away and this was because I was very insecure about myself. I didn 't want people looking at me because I was afraid of what they may think. I was like this for a long time until I finally started realizing more positive things about myself than all the negatives. Instead of thinking about my bunions I thought about how good I was at track. Instead of me thinking about my flat hair I thought about how it was blond and some people would kill for that. Eventually, I became more positive about myself and stopped picking out my flaws and guess what... I started smiling at those random staring people in stores and you 'd be surprised that almost everyone smiled back just because I was showing a sign of
Unethical behavior is a behavior which is not morally correct. When one is encouraged to embrace unethical behavior and actions, they are "trapped." They are psychological in nature, and such traps distort perceptions of what is wrong and what is right. One actually ends up believing that his or her unethical behavior is right and ethical. If one is not aware of their behavior it is hard for them to tell if their behavior is actually acceptable and ethical. Just like in the Stanford Prison Experiment, the volunteer guards adopted to their new roles. Within hours of beginning the prison experiment, some of the guards began to abuse their power and harass prisoners in that experiment. The volunteer guards behaved in a sadistic and brutal manner.

Are businesses that behave unethically destined for failure? Currently, businesses are facing growing societal pressure to perform responsibly and sustainably. Western cultures have become more aware of the effect their consumption has on the environment. Furthermore, companies are being put under pressure to treat labour, and where applicable, animals with greater care. However, this is to an extent optional and it is often argued that corporate social responsibility is taken up voluntarily by the business and that following laws regarding ethical trading is just a prerequisite to “fulfilling the responsibility of enterprises” (Enderle, 2014, pp 723 - 735).
What is right and wrong? This question that has been asked throughout history all over the world that perplexes society even today. Many philosophers have attempted to answer this question, but it is hard to make out what the right answer would be or even if it can be answered. Who would be able to tell? That’s why we as individuals must make up our own minds on what is right or wrong. We can only hope to find our own moral path. Though it is up to us we can take a look at philosophers of the past to be a guiding hand at times.
Axiology is the study of the Nature of Values. As an Existentialist I believe that a person’s choices are what creates the human being. As I am a military child, I have had a very strict life. While most of the values I learned were from my home life, school and other sources backed these values up. I will focus on my top three values which are respect, responsibility, and understanding. The others that will guide my practice are discipline, trying your best, kindness, and commitment. The first value that came to my mind was respect. Respect is very important because you must earn others respect and vice versa. I learned this, first, through my home, by respecting my parent’s wishes, even if it was not something I agreed with. Wisdom is something that is very hard to judge because something that might be right to someone might not be right to another person. With that being said wisdom can be a confusing issue. The common misconception of wisdom is that old people can only be wise, which in most cases is true but young people also can be wise or act wisely
Ethics is a branch of philosophy that deals with the moral principles and values that govern our behavior as human beings. It is important in the human experience that we are able to grasp the idea of our own ethical code in order to become the most sensible human beings. But in that process, can ethics be taught to us? Or later in a person’s life, can he or she teach ethics the way they learned it? It is a unique and challenging concept because it is difficult to attempt to answer that question objectively because everybody has his or her own sense of morality. Human beings are confronted with numerous issues throughout his or her lifetime that would require him or her to examine the best action to take to avoid the damaging consequences. In most cases, individuals restrain his or her action to take into consideration the consequences that may lead to the right or wrong behavior. One’s ethical and moral standards are first learned at an early age from his or her culture, how he or she is raised, religious background, and social system. Scientifically, there are various ethical theories, such as the virtue theory, deontological ethics, and utilitarianism (Boylan, 2009). By understanding these theories one can compare, contrast and uncover the reasoning behind his or her ethical and moral standards.
The term ethics originates from the Greek word ethikos and later translated into Latin as moralis. Therefore it is easy to see the link between ethics and morals. When we refer to irresponsible behaviour we refer to it as immoral or unethical. The focus is on the character and mannerism of a person. Ethics is based on the fact that it is unselfish and balances what is good for one’s self and what is good for others. An action is therefore unethical if the person doing the action is only concerned about the self and not about the good and the other.
Integrity is the quality of being honest. When you are honest about something or a certain situation you are considered a person of integrity. Also when you have integrity you have strong moral principles. When you have strong moral principles you know what is right and what is wrong. “Having integrity means doing the right thing in a reliable way. It's a personality trait that we admire, since it means a person has a moral compass that doesn't waver. It literally means having "wholeness" of character, just as an integer is a "whole number" with no fractions.” Furthermore, having integrity is a quality that many strive to have because it often means that you are a good person.
There's no one to blame but there are a million or so of us to take responsibility, to fix it from within, and that is the hallmark of a nation and a people. That's leadership, management, tradition and spirituality. Granted, the solutions don't come easy. I know that from my personal experience, just as we know that it's the willingness to struggle towards the ideal that elevates us as individuals, communities and societies. Therefore, leadership plays a very important role in our lives. The ethics of leadership rests upon three pillars: (1) the moral character of the leader; (2) the ethical legitimacy of the values embedded in the leaders vision, articulation, and program which followers either embrace or reject; and (3) the morality of the processes of social ethical choice and action that leaders and followers engage in and collectively pursue. Such ethical characteristics of leadership have been widely acknowledged (Wren, 1998). Transformational leaders set examples to be emulated by their followers. And as suggested by Stevens et al., (1998) and demonstrated by Conger & Kanungo (1998) when leaders are more morally mature, those they lead display higher moral reasoning. But not all leadership fits the same pattern and ethical analysis shifts with varying leadership modalities. In the societies of the western world the subject of responsibility is increasing in importance. Academic integrity is defined as the moral code or ethical policy of academia. With all morals and regulations, it is easy to fall short of them sometimes. This is primarily evident in the education system. Cheating is an often broken rule of academic integrity. The struggle to maintain academic integrity throughout college students has been an ongoing battle between cheating versus honesty, habitual repeat offenders versus commitment to integrity, and collusion versus cooperation.
A good friend must be kind because being kind is when they look out for you no matter what! If they hear girls talking about you, they are the friends that stop them. Friends look out for you even when you are arguing. A friend understands that you may not always get along but you should always try and be there for them and look out for them. Although this can be difficult at times, it proves how kind and loving you are. Another part of being kind is listening to one and another. Sometimes we don't care about what are friends have to say, but listening is really important. Listening shows that you value their friendship. Some friends only talk about themselves and never listen to your problems; that is not a good friend. What is the universally accepted basis of right and wrong? That is one difficult question because the concept of right and wrong is actually relative. Ethical norms have developed over time and across cultures as people of goodwill consider human relationships and how human beings act when they are at their best. However, the meaning of ethics is still hard to pin down. Philosophically, ethics is an attempt to answer Socrates' question of how one should live. This is a general question which, for any individual, could translate to "How should I live?" Not all answers to this question are of the ethical type as one may say he or she would lead a self-indulgent life. Ethics tries to answer "How should one live?" given that we already live in a society.
