The World Class Woman: The Life of Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie was born June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles, California to actor Jon Voight, and actress Bertrand. She has one older brother James Haven. Angelina graduated from high school at age 16. She then attended New York University.
Angelina started acting at a young age. She became popular by taking on the title role Lara Croft. Off-screen Angelina has become involved in international charity projects. Especially those involving refugees. She often appears in many Most Beautiful Women lists, and she has a personal life that is avidly covered by the press. In her earliest years she began absorbing the acting craft from her parents. At age 11 Angelina began studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute where she was seen in several stage productions. At age 16 she took up a career in modeling and appeared in some music videos.
Angelina appeared in various small films where she got good notice including hackers and Firefox. She started becoming more popular when she played strong roles in movies in True Women and George Wallce, which won her a Golden Globe award and an Emmy nomination. Angelina got a break when she won a leading role in the successful feature The Bone Collector staring alongside Denzel Washington. In the same year she gave a tour de foree performance in girl, interpreted playing opposite Winona Ryder.
Angelina with her new found prominence she began to get in depth attention from the press. Numerous aspects of her personal life became news. At her wedding to her Hackers co-star Jonny Lee Miller, she had displayed her husband’s name on the back of her shirt painted in her own blood.
