Recommended: Impact of the institution of slavery

The most evil in the world at that time and what Harriot Stow tells readers about the evil that is slavery. The regards to the slavery the evil is that it affects everyone. The way she details the events in the story shows the struggle of slavery but also the way family life was affected by it. Not because it was just cruel but that to the white slave owners would act as if it was completely normal. That is what the evil is the fact that it is nothing to them just a part of their lives.
The impact of slavery was on everyone. The acts of slavery was everywhere children watched at auctions to see if their families would get another slave. People would know that farmers slaves gained them their wealth because no farmer could do all that work. …show more content…

They would be proud to see that it was something that represents them. I do think that there was somethings that would surprise the slave owners and that is when I think that anything nice towards the slaves that would not believe in that. There would also be people that would also be shocked at the horrific things they are reading and want to change their views. There is no changing what has been done those slave owners knew what they were doing. They also would have been proud to know that they 're beliefs made a book. They would not be aware of the way they were towards the slaves and continue with their lives. The 19th century would be satisfied and proud to see their culture in a book. The century was a very bad few years because the lack of medical supplies caused a lot of death. Children would mature more often because they would see a white man kill a black slave because he ran away. The fact that children have known what these people did and to grow up and become the same makes the 19th century evil. The slavery in this time was evil and that is what Stowe always refer to when you see the way the world is in this story.
The evils in this story was clear to anyone who reads it. Stowe shows the world in the eyes of slaves and the readers gain an understanding of how slaves were treated and how they had to survive in those years. Sadly that is the true evil in the world the fact slavery went on for hundreds of years. This was the evils that Stowe wanted to depict in this story and was successful. However, Washington argues that blacks should attain an industrial education that enables them to find employment through meeting the economic needs of the South, obtaining moral character and intelligence, and embracing practical labor. His arguments are supported through his personal accounts as a student at Hampton Institute and as an administrator at the Tuskegee Institute. Washington’s autobiography is a great source of insight into the black education debate following Reconstruction.
