Conceptual Definition

Peer Mentee – is a student who receives help or is mentored in a mentoring program.

Peer Mentor - is another student who can serve as a resource, a helping hand, a sounding board, and a referral service. The job of peer mentors is to provide support, encouragement, and information to students in their department who are just beginning the graduate program.

Peer Mentoring - is a process in which an experienced student individual helps another student develops his or her goals and skills through a series of time-limited, confidential, one-on-one conversations and other learning activities.
