To begin, education created an access to a whole new sphere of knowledge that women did not have the chance to explore; getting access was one of the biggest challenges. There were many reasons why women wanted the right to be educated. First, many women needed to earn a living on their own and going to school would help them to find a paid work later . Secondly, women wanted to offer better education for their children and husband by getting educated themselves . Thirdly, if women had better education it will help their performance towards the needy, they will provide superior care . Some schools will eventually trained women that want to have paid positions in maternal caring facilities . Finally, providing education to women would help them to remedy deficiencies perceived in women’s intellectual abilities; people will take women more seriously . To conclude, the key access for women in this new sphere was definitely education because it led to better jobs and they were able to express their thoughts and ideas through literature. Even though women were out of their comfort zone, they still persevered and they did not drift away from their goals because of what men were saying or believing that was right. Women of the 18th Century challenged the norms in extraordinary ways. Time and place clearly played a role in those improvements in women’s lives because access to education and job opportunities differed from country to country. Women of Western Europe were considering themselves in a better position than women from the Central or Eastern Europe to adhere to radical changes . Those reforms led to the second wave of feminism in 1960s .
