Although I currently am not taking any mathematics courses, Wolfram|Alpha certainly has the capacity to be a valuable homework or study tool. In particular, its ability to handle calculus functions such as differential equations and integration, even providing visual representation for graphs and series, would have been an immensely helpful tool when I took AP Calculus in high school. Similarly, the details the engine can provide for chemicals and measurements, such as acceleration, would have been equally helpful for science classes. Also, the financial analysis that it can perform on stocks is complex for any type of online information source, and having recently discovered its use of hard-to-find indicators such as visual representations of volatility, I’ll most likely begin to use these functions when investing.
Wolfram|Alpha would have been significantly helpful for Business Statistics (Econ 202) which I completed last semester. Wolfram|Alpha can calculate descriptive statistics, display distributions, and perform regression analysis much more rapidly than can be completed by hand or with Microsoft Excel as taught in class. Frequently, in order to complete more detailed problems such as hypothesis testing, statistical indicators such as standard deviation must first be calculated. Wolfram|Alpha could have helped to save time without adversely affecting or hindering my learning of the underlying concepts.

These packets can also serve two purposes, as they should also show instructors how Wolfram|Alpha can assist them. The simple and visual nature of Wolfram|Alpha makes it a useful resource for displaying information that they may wish to lecture on, as they can display maps, images, graphs, and charts on the same page. Teachers can also use it as a useful site for collecting information to later be used in slide shows or handouts.
It was a great one-time source. It included a page worth of information which allowed me to write two paragraphs. There was lots of information on the changes from the DC-2 to the DC-3. Those changes gave me ideas for paragraphs on the components of the DC-3.
One of the things that I have learned is how to use different resources at college. One of the resources is the library. Since the library is closed right now I learned how to use the online library. I did not know how to use the library website at first, and know I know how to use it better. I use the website for almost all my classes. I use it for finding articles, and doing research. I think this resource will be the most helpful to me, because I can use the online resources to find articles, books, movies, and music. If I need to do research on a topic, I can always request a book and check it out from the library. The COL 101 class has also helped me with my future.

Throughout the beginning of this semester I have looked at how individuals behave within business organizations. Through various exercises and results, I have found a number of patterns within my behavior and interests. I have become aware what interests me, and a number of skills/abilities I was oblivious I had. This reflection and in class exercises has allowed me to expand my skills, abilities, and behaviors, well fitting them into prospective future employment.

Within this site, I have useful tabs that gives me various resources to assist me with my assignments. My two short years in TexPREP have already given me an advantage over my friends and fellow classmates in terms of knowledge. Although I credit my uncle with inspiring my initial decision, my constantly growing interest in this field and desire to continue my education has grown from two sources: the Industrial Relations faculty at LeMoyne and my vocation as a martial arts instructor for almost five years. From my professors, I have learned the practical side of my intended profession: the multitude of laws protecting worker's rights in the workplace, procedures for collective bargaining and arbitration, and how compensation systems function. My job, on the other hand, has helped me acquire the "people" skills that are crucial to being an effective H.R. manager. In the course of a normal workday, I must communicate with a diverse group of people ranging in age from three to seventy-two years old. Each student has unique needs and goals that I must identify and pay attention to. I must constantly evaluate students and give them constructive feedback, walking that fine line between support and criticism. At the same time, I delegate tasks to the less senior instructors and class helpers, while helping them improve their teaching skills. It is challenging and constantly educational. These two sources, my professors and my job, have succeeded in transforming a disinterested college freshman into a senior who has a focused career path.

There are literally hundreds of desirable traits in the workplace. Of these, one of the arguably most important is to be well-rounded in the workplace. Many skills can assist an individual in being a well-rounded employee. Oral communication skills, written communication skills, teamwork, technical skills, leadership skills, adaptation skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills and analytic abilities are some of the key factors to a well-rounded employee. While these skills all seem to be of equal ability to the well-rounded employee, the scope of this paper will only delve into a few of the skills preceding. Technical skills, oral communication skills and leadership skills will all be detailed in this review in an attempt to help you (the reader) become a well-rounded employee.
At any time in our lives, we have all encountered any number of professional environments. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the adult who has been in the workforce between 1978 and 2006 has held an average of 10.8 jobs (Bureau of Labor Statics, 2008). In such environments, one is bound to encounter both the most rewarding of working experiences, as well as difficult work experiences. In my history of different work environments, I grew more as an employee and had better relationships with my coworkers when I was in an environment that allowed and encouraged me to learn and solve problems, as opposed to in an environment that was rigid and did not foster any kind of personal growth .
The demanding nature of the work has given me an added sense of responsibility but also of pride, fulfilment, and greater appreciation for hard work, ultimately making me more mature and dependable.
