Some days are long and some days are short depending on the season. Different weather, daylight hours, holidays, and different events are all events in which occur throughout the season. The events that can occur also depends on what’s the season. In each season, there are different activities that can be accomplished. For example, some seasons contain certain holidays that occur in them like Christmas, which only happens in the winter. King Solomon wrote wisely, and later was wisely paraphrased by the folk band “The Byrds”, “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven...” (Ecclesiastes 3:1,8). Seasons often represent the periods of a person’s life; birth, youth, age and death. In “What lips my lips have kissed, and where, and why?” Edna St. Vincent Millay says that “the summer sang in me” meaning that she was once as bright and lively as the warm summer months. In the winter everyone wants to bundle up and be lazy, but when summer comes along the sunshine tends to take away the limits that the cold once had on us. She uses the metaphor of summer to express the freedom she once felt in her youth, and the winter in contrast to the dull meaningless life she has now. There are many poets that feel a connection with the changing of seasons. In “Odes to the West Wind” Percy Bysshe Shelley describes his hopes and his expectations for the seasons to inspire the world.

Fall and winter both start to change temperatures and it begins to get a lot colder. Fall is better than winter and spring because in the winter you get runny noses and in the spring the pollen would stop up your nose. When I saw the snow, I had so many feelings inside of me. I could barely speak or breathe. I was feeling so excited about the snow that I had to jump around the house and scream. While I was getting out of bed, I had so much energy! I was extremely energetic and the only way to let it out was to get out and have lots of snow day fun! When I started to get on my warm winter gear, I was curious about what I was going to do when I got outside? Man I can barely wait to start this day! I like being outside on a bright sunny day, and letting the sun warm my body. I also like that we get an occasional thunder storm. The excitement fills the air when I see the thunder clouds rolling in. The sound of thunder, and the lighting shows that come from the storms are fascinating. On the other hand winter i...

Cold gloomy weather most likely can make even the most advantageous person want to curl up on the couch to have a lazy day every once in awhile but what matters is that the next day that person can pick themselves up and go on with the normal routine. This task of getting up to peruse the day may span from no effort, a small pep talk or professional help to exhibit the temperance needed to get one’s self going. Resistance to fall into temptation of staying at home and closing oneself off to the world during the rainy or snowy winter months can seem like an impassable obstacle to some. Once again temperance must be found to pull through by finding the method that works for them.
