“Riot” - Three Days Grace : The song also talks about how “if [they] feel so angry, so ripped off, so stepped on” then they should start a riot. This could be used to describe Sampson and Gregory at the beginning of Act One, Scene One. They are angry, because of the heat and the Capulets just provoke them even more when they show up. They may also feel like the capulets are stepping on them just because of the rivalry between the two families, which is why they want to fight even more.
“Stolen Dance” - Milky Chance : This song is about a man in love with a girl. It talks about how they are dancing, but it also mentions that they should not speak of it. This could be used for the Act One, Scene Five at the Capulet party when Romeo and Juliet

It talks about how someone is trying to keep the couple apart, just like how the parents are keeping Romeo and Juliet apart due to their feud. This song would be good for Act Three, Scene Five because it talks about how “the night has reached its end” and this is when Romeo and Juliet are waking up. The lyrics also show the singer asking “Is this our last embrace?” just like how when Romeo is leaving, him and Juliet do not know for sure if they will see each other again.
“Face Down” - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus : This song is about a man who abuses his girlfriend. This could be used for Act Three, Scene Five when Lord Capulet is trying to force Juliet to get married, and when she says she does not want to hits her. Romeo’s love for Juliet could be seen as a drug, because he cannot live without her. The singer talks about how he’s “sitting by a fire on a lonely night”, which is the state in which romeo is in when Balthasar comes to deliver the news of Juliet in Act Five, Scene one. The songs alsos talks about “one last kiss, before [he goes]” which represents the moment when Romeo will give her a kiss before he kills himself in Act Five, Scene Three.
“I Will Follow You Into The Dark” - Death Cab For Cutie : This song talks about a man (the singer) who is in love and willing to do anything for them. He states that “someday [his love] will die, but [he’ll] be close behind” and that “[he’ll] follow [them] into the dark”. The first line insinuates that the dark represents death, but it also represents other situations his partner may get into. This song could be used in Romeo and Juliet during Act Five, Scene Three for two reasons. Who would be willing to die for their loved ones? Romeo and Juliet would and did. Romeo and Juliet’s love and death brought two families together who could not even remember the origin of their hate. When the parents saw what their children's love for each other, they realized that their fighting had only led to suffering and insoluble conflict. Romeo and Juliet loved each other to an extent that they killed themselves rather than live apart. They did it with no hiatus. Juliet says before she kills herself, “O happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die.”( 5, 3, 182-183) demonstrating how she would rather die than not be with him.
Juliet strategizes her disastrous plan and worries, “How if, when I am laid into the tomb, I wake before the time that Romeo come to redeem me?” (Lines 30-32 of Act Four, Scene Three). Juliet is desperate to see Romeo, ergo she plans to fake her death. Her thoughts of Romeo finding her lifeless foreshadows their future. Romeo is deprived of the news of Juliet’s real state of health, therefore he says, “Well, Juliet, I will lie with thee tonight. O mischief, thou art swift to enter the thoughts of desperate men!” (Lines 34-36 of Act Five, Scene One). Once again, Romeo’s perception is only focused on Juliet. His mental instability leads him to think Paris is in the way obtaining true happiness, thus he slays him. Romeo acquires poison, stands beside Juliet, and states, “Here’s to my love! (Drinks.) O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” (Lines 119-120 of Act Five, Scene Three). Romeo observes Juliet’s body and determines that he should die beside her. Romeo- Love causes Romeo to act impulsively and put himself in dangerous situations. For example, in act two scene two, Romeo sneaks into the Capulet grounds due to his love for Juliet. He loves her so much that he was willing to risk being caught by Juliet’s kinsman. If he was caught, a fight could have broken out, which would put Romeo’s life in danger. Also, he would lose his life due to the prince’s penalty. However, due to his intrusion of the Capulet party in act one scene five, it is Tybalt’s rage that jeopardizes Romeo’s well-being. Romeo assumes Juliet is dead, and drinks a potion that kills him, and when Juliet wakes up and realizes that Romeo is dead, she stabs herself. In the play, Romeo and Juliet sneak out a lot to see each other. They do this because they are from rival families and their don’t want them to interact with each other at all. By sneaking around, it created more problems and Juliet drank a potion that would put her to sleep for a while and as a result, they both ended up killing themselves. Sampson and Gregory are itching for a fight as they both believe that they have just as much right to defend the name ‘capulet’ as any other member of the family. So there is also this love for the name and for the fight as though they are children awaiting presents.
At the start of Act 3 scene 5 Capulet begins with a soliloquy, in which he describes his feelings of pity and confusion ‘How now a conduit girl?’ As Juliet expresses her grief Capulet becomes frightened for her sake. By the time we get to this scene Juliet has already married her Romeo which Capulet does not know about, this produces even more tension because Juliet is trying not to look guilty although she is forbidden to marry Paris. Capulet creates a dramatic effect on the whole soliloquy in pleading her to halt her tears ‘It rains downright’ he is stating that his daughter has been crying, perhaps too much.
Romeo and Juliet is a romantic love story about a young lad named Romeo who has fallen in love with Lady Juliet, but is unable to marry her because of a long-lasting family feud. The play ends in the death of both these characters and the reunion of the friendship between the families. Romeo is in love with Juliet, and this is a true, passionate love (unlike the love Paris has for her or the love Romeo had for Rosaline) that nothing can overcome, not even the hatred between their two families that is the reason for the death of their two children. Throughout the play, Shakespeare thoroughly explores the themes of both true love and false love and hatred. Without either of these themes, the play would loose its romantic touch and probably would not be as famous as it is today.
Also, Romeo spots Juliet for the first time at her father’s party and his first words about her are “Yo, she’s bangin’!” I wrapped pearls around the stick to give others the feeling that she has her daddy wrapped around her finger doing everything for her. Juliet is a spoiled brat who can’t do anything for herself and everyone else works hard to make her happy. In Act 3 Scene 5 Capulet is shouting at Lady Capulet because he is mad at Juliet for not wanting to marry Paris. He says “I have worked hard to provide Juliet with everything she needs to be happy.
