Dearest Hamlet, I have heard the troubles that you have experienced and I am here in sympathy for you. Losing a father is very emotionally heartbreaking; as I know the feeling well. When I was appointed the King of Thebes, I was given a prophecy declaring that I would have to find the killer of the previous king in order for my kingdom to thrive. I was furiously determined to fulfill this revelation, similar to you, dying for justice. I know this leads to detrimental circumstances, as I discovered that I unknowingly murdered my father and married my mother. In the end, I exiled myself as well as stabbing my eyes. I beg you Hamlet, as a man who has attempted to avenge a death, calm down and rethink your decisions, otherwise the outcome may be severely detrimental. Impulse is yet another one of man’s flaws, as we perform our worst decisions when we are fueled by rage. We have both killed innocent men when we were unstable with anger. I ended up slaying my father to his death, angry at the road blockage his caravan created. However, you and I depicted no remorse over the slaughter of innocent people. Only when I realized I had killed my father did I feel the grief of murdering. It has come to my attention that under impulse, you have assassinated Polonius; the King’s chief counselor. I know that you do not feel the penance for killing but I urge you to control your fury before something pernicious arises. Incest is one of the worst sins one could commit, especially between parents. From my personal experience, even though I was unaware of the situation, I recommend that you confirm you are not falling in love with your mother.
