According to the book, He started to be a teacher in the late 1930’s. In Second World War, he worked British navy and was separated in 1940 to 1945. And then he was reinstated as a teacher, he published his first novel ‘Lord of the Flies’ when he was a teacher. He published various literary works. He wrote novels such as ‘Lord of the Flies’, ‘The Inheritos’ and so on, a pray ‘The Brass Butterfly and essay ‘The hot gate’. He won the 1983 Nobel Prize for Literature. And he died in 1993. (1954) I think that his experiences of working British navy in Second World War affected writing the ‘Lord of the Flies’. There are many characters in this book such as Ralph, Piggy, Jack, Twins and so on. However I think there are two main characters whom come into conflict each other among them. The first main character is Ralph. Ralph liked his status ‘boss’ of them and wants to maintain his status through the scenes that Ralph emphasizes the status when he talks with Jack and he always accents that people should use shell when people want to talk but not Ralph himself. As he likes his status, he has leadership to lead children. He is a rational person than Jack because he thinks that being rescued by making a fire is most important thing than any other things they do, for example, hunting. Therefore, he is very angry when they couldn’t be rescued because of Jack’s hunting unit that doesn’t keep the signal fire. And Ha2 he also has conscience because he feels guilty about death of Simon when he talks with Piggy. The second of main character is Jack. He was the leader of the ch... ... middle of paper ... ...r killing Simon. I knew that was a fault but it was hard to get rid of thinking about that and you truly consoled me at that time. I think that if I did not have you, I could be changed my personality such as Jack’s group. I really surprised when you were killed by Jack’s group. I should ran away to avoid Jack and Sam and Erik were grabbed after you were killed. I thought that if I ran away with you, your existence would give me a great encouragement. When I was rescued while I avoided Jack, I cried a lot because I thought you. After I was rescued, I have lived well. I think that you are the most brave and wise man I have ever met. When I had a hard time, many things that we underwent a hard time against Jack’s group came to mind. I always miss you and I want to apologize what I did. From, your friend Ralph
