Atmosphere can contribute to changes in global climate patterns. Global warming can be considered part of climate change along with changes in precipitation, sea level, etc.” (3) Greenhouse effect is a natural occurrence that helps regulate the temperature of the earth. It was said that “When the Sun heats the earth, some of this heat escapes back to space. The rest of the heat, also known as infrared radiation, is trapped in the atmosphere by clouds and greenhouse gases, such as water vapor and carbon dioxide (CO2)” as reported by the EPA. The statistics and data for the research show that an increased amount of CO2 is actually happening, and other environmental organizations agree with that based on data of their own.

There are several main causes of Global warming: greenhouse gas emissions, the greenhouse effect, and deforestation. First, greenhouse gases such as water vapor, chlorofluorocarbons, and methane (CH4) occur naturally, and are increasing. Above all, fuel burning and other human activities are emitting large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2). These additional greenhouse gases come from burning fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, and oil to power our cars, factories, homes and schools. Cutting down trees, generating waste and farming also produce greenhouse gases. (EPA 3) Secondly, most radiation is absorbed by the earth’s surface and warms it causing the greenhouse effect. Some solar radiation is reflected by the earth and the atmosphere. Some of the infrared radiation passes through the atmosphere, and some is absorbed and re-emitted in all directions by greenhouse gas molecules. (EPA 2) The effect of this is to warm the earth’s surface and the lower atmosphere. Third, deforestation is a major contribution. There...

Global warming is an important social issue in a political as well as an economical sense. Global warming, a man-made disaster is mainly caused by greenhouse gases from human activity. Qualities of enormous natural disasters caused by global warming such as sea level rising, arctic sea ice melting, frequent hurricane, flood and drought. These acts of nature cannot be completely solved by human power, however it is possible to slow down the process global warming. We need to figure out the ways to curve the global warming phenomenon. It should be considered for global warming that not only the establishment of rules and regulation internationally but also making effort individually in life, can act as a life preserver for our planet. We, as a society, must do everything in our power to preserve the delicate balance of nature.
