Genocide Conflicts
There has been so much segregation in the world in the past, today and probably in the future too. People stereotype people for their race, social status and beliefs every day. No matter how much we try to stop it there is always that one person who goes the extra mile to discriminate that certain someone or belief. The Holocaust and The Armenian Segregation are two historical events that show just how far people are willing to go to get rid of something. In my opinion both events are very wrong and cruel not only to the people who were in them but also to humanity itself.
The holocaust, one of the world’s most recognizable conflicts, began during the 1930’s in many different countries in Europe. Most people know that during this time many Jewish people were killed and mistreated by the “followers” of a German leader named Hitler. But it was much more than just that; many other groups were targeted by the Nazis such as gypsy, homosexual, and disabled people. The basis of the idea of “cleansing” Europe from the Jewish race began after soon after world war one. Many Germans blamed Jews for their loss in 1918, this resulted in the creation of the “National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP), known to English speakers as the Nazis.” (The Holocaust, History.com) Their main goal was to expand their beliefs and purify the German race. In the beginnings of the holocaust Jewish people were forced out of and to leave their homes and businesses to live in ghettos. After that Jews would be cited to go live in concentration camps or to work in factories. In the concentration camps they would beat and starve the Jews to kill them or they would send mass amounts of them to gas chambers. Towards the end of the war ...

The Holocaust could be best described as the widespread genocide of over eleven million Jews and other undesirables throughout Europe from 1933 to 1945. It all began when Adolf Hitler, Germany's newest leader, enforced the Nuremburg Race Laws. These laws discriminated against Jews and other undesirables and segregated them from the rest of the population. As things grew worse, Jews were forced to wear the Star of David on their clothing. The laws even stripped them of their citizenship.
The Holocaust occurred from 1933 to 1945. The National Socialist (Nazi) party was in power in Germany. During the Holocaust, over 6 million Jews were killed! Nazis adipted a policy called the “Final Solution”. It’s goal was to kill all Jews in Europe. By the time the Nazis were defeated in 1945 they had killed over 6 million Jews. The Nazi’s also murdered homosexuals, disabled people, and people with different political views.
To understand the Holocaust you need to understand six words, definition, expropriation, einsatzgruppen, concentration, deportation, and death camps. The Germans define the Jews biologically based on religion of their grandparents. When the regime came to power in January 1933 part of the Nazi movement wanted to out rid or Jews overnight, what they did was they began to legislate against the Jews and rapidly the Jews were kick out not only in civil service but also in education, universities, teachers lawyers and doctors. The Jews became something that was not needed. The climax of this early period of legislation was the Nuremberg laws. The laws were there to determine officially citizenship in Germany, however the only definition that were given who is a citizen were definition for who was not a citizen and the only people define as not citizen of Germany were the Jews. In other time in history Jews could convert, they could hide themselves by assimilating within the host country. However under racial theory during the Nazi period Jews were Jews because of the blood that was coursing thought their veins. So the ultimate theory was that if you wanted to get rids of Jews that you couldn’t do it through conversion or any other way then to murder them.
From 1933 onwards, Adolf Hitler and his Nazis began implementing simple discrimination laws against the Jews and others who they did not see part of their master race. Hitler and the Nazis believed that German power was being taken by the Jews. Hitler was able to convince his followers of this issue with the Jewish question as it was known, and get away with murdering millions of people in an attempt to cleanse society of anyone inferior to the master race. The Holocaust lasted for 12 years, until 1945. Starting as early as 1944, the Allies were finally advancing on the Germans and began taking over their camps. These liberations and takeovers by the Soviets, American’s and other allies slowly began to remove Hitler from power. In my essay I will go into detail on the final years of the holocaust and how it ended.(1)
The holocaust was a horrible time in Germany where millions of people were killed simply for not being Aryan. The group responsible for this was called the Nazis led by a man of the name Adolf Hitler. Hitler’s main target was the Jews, in fact the Nazis were responsible for the killing of 6 million Jews, which is known as one of the largest genocides ever. The way this was done was by taking the Jews to places called concentration camps where they would be kept, tortured and eventually killed by being put into gas chambers. The conditions of these camps were horrible. People had to sleep on top of each other and minimal food was supplied. The results of this was that people died by just being there because they caught a disease. Not only were the conditions bad but people were tortured, beaten and starved. The Nazis put a whole new meaning to the word cruelty. One of the cruelest things the Nazis did was use the Jews for experiments, where people were basically test dummies for Dr. Mengele, who was the head Nazi doctor and referred to as the “angel of death.”

As early as age thirteen, we start learning about the Holocaust in classrooms and in textbooks. We learn that in the 1940s, the German Nazi party (led by Adolph Hitler) intentionally performed a mass genocide in order to try to breed a perfect population of human beings. Jews were the first peoples to be put into ghettos and eventually sent by train to concentration camps like Auschwitz and Buchenwald. At these places, each person was separated from their families and given a number. In essence, these people were no longer people at all; they were machines. An estimation of six million deaths resulting from the Holocaust has been recorded and is mourned by descendants of these people every day. There are, however, some individuals who claim that this horrific event never took place.
The Holocaust was the great plan to make Jews to become instinct and other people that Hitler considered inferior to him. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in Germany led this great plan from 1933 to 1945. Approximately twelve million people had their lives taken, half being Jews. Everything changed and became impacted all around the world when Hitler took over Germany, he had a strong prejudice against the Jews. His goal was to create the perfect race of human, blonde hair, blue eyed Germans. The soldiers in Hitler’s camp was his followers, the Nazis, which did all of his dirty work for him. There were also many other people that contributed to his massive event. There became different clans and groups of people going out on their own and doing the killing also, not only Jews. The Holocaust was the persecution of 6 million Jews and millions of others forced to live in ghettos, deported to camps, and systematically annihilated until the Allied forces liberated the remaining survivors.
The Holocaust was the worst genocide in history. The Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler wanted to eliminate all Jews as part of his plan for world power. Jews were not the only victims of the Nazis during W.W.II. The Nazis also killed millions of other people whom Hitler regarded as racially lower or politically dangerous. After World War II began in 1939, Germany's powerful war machine conquered country after country in Europe. Millions more Jews came under German control. The Nazis killed many of them and sent others to concentration camps. The Nazis also moved many Jews from towns and villages into city ghettos. They later sent these people, too, to concentration camps. Although many Jews thought the ghettos would last, the Nazis saw ghetto imprisonment as only a temporary measure. Sometime in early 1941, the Nazi leadership finalized the details of a policy decision labeled "The Final Solution of the Jewish Question." This policy called for the murder of every Jew (man, woman, and child) under German rule.
It all started almost 80 years ago and the history of it will never be forgotten. The Holocaust was the mass murder of approximately six million Jews that took place during World War II. The Holocaust was the persecution and murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime. The total amount of people murdered during this time was 11 million, with six million of those being Jews. Not only were adults murdered but approximately 1.5 million children were murdered as well. The destruction of 5,000 Jewish communities also occurred during this time. The word “Holocaust” comes from the Greek origin meaning, “sacrifice by fire”. Another word for this mass murder of six million Jews is “Shoah”. “Shoah” means devastation, ruin, or waste. The Nazis who led this persecution came to power in Germany in January of 1933. The Nazis saw the Jews as evil or cowardly and saw the Germans as hardworking, honest, and courageous. The Germans were destined to rule and the Jews were doomed to extinction. Not only were the Jews a target but Gypsies, the disabled, and some of the Slavic people were as well. The Holocaust began in 1933 when Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany and it ended in 1945 when the Allies defeated the Nazis.

The holocaust was a systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of millions of Jewish people, Romas, Gypsies and the mentally disabled this was because of the Nazi regime, to rid the world of the inferior race. The Holocaust was located in many different places in and surrounding Germany. These places are also known as concentration camps.
